hello everyone!

Like most, I've been reading posts for a while during the whole processing of my application before actually writing something myself. My application has funnily enough the same timeline as MikeUK, so his news was quite interesting to me. However, since I plan to reside in quebec and need a CSQ, it might be a different timeline in the end. I received an email from London this morning asking me to forward a copy of my CSQ since they have not received it from Quebec immigration...forwarding something to London CHC would mean by mail, fax or webform? I'm a bit stressed about them receiving it in the right format. Would just scanning the document and then sending it via webform be suffice or do they want a real photocopy? Anyone else experience in document requests from London? I'm guessing it's a fairly straight forward procedure but I haven't read a lot of info on this subject!

I used the web form to upload a scanned police clearance certificate for London. I got an email within a few days asking me to send originals, which I did referencing the email and putting my client ID on it..... Seemed to work.

For those people with a PPR, how long do they give you to send the passport? We are planning a trip in March, only for 5 days. If we get a passport request before we leave, will we have time to go on the trip and send the passport afterwards?
Also, how long does it normally take to have the passport returned? If, by some miracle, they send us a PPR on the 1st of march, and our trip is on the 12th, we probably couldn't send the passport right away and have it back in time for our trip right? Do they just stamp the passport in london?
Thanks

I received my PPR e-mail on 27th Jan, it said on the attached letter: "Failure to communicate with us within 45 days from the date of this letter will result
in your application being refused and the file being closed."

They are also sending the attached letter to my mailing address which I still haven't received it. Then I sent out my passport on 29th Jan, not yet returned.
I have trip on 17th Feb, I don't know if my passport can return before that date......luckily I have dual nationality, I can travel with the other passport!

My opinion is if the miracle comes, don't send out your passport before your trip. You better send out after your trip as it is only 5 days trip, right?

Hi all,

Just to update - I picked up my passport and visa at the Canadian High Commission on Thursday afternoon and landed in Toronto yesterday afternoon, Friday 4th Feb, all went very smoothly and took no more than a couple of minutes to land at Toronto airport. Good luck to everyone still waiting and thank you for all the invaluable advice I have received on here, I will still be signing in to see how everyone is getting on!

I got the passport (& visa!) back in 7 days, but since then London seem to have stopped working! I think I was very very lucky and managed to get through before Christmas/bad weather which is when everything went into slow-mode.
You have 45 days to send it in so you it should work out ok for you to send it when you get back.
Good luck!

this is terrible news, i hope they speed up in the upcoming weeks! Will be sending mine to them hopefully in 8 weeks!
