For those not on B.E forum

Woohoo

I received 2 messages through mycic this morning to notify me that my application has been approved. My COPR has been issued and I have a year to 'land'.

My background check 'in progress' notification was only received yesterday, so I can only guess that mine was a pretty straight forward application.

Ecas is still showing 'in process' but i'm sure it will catch up!

Thanks to anyone who has helped and assisted on the way

Good Luck to one and all waiting for their application to be completed.

Congratulations! I can't quite believe it but we got the same update TODAY! We've had the exact same timeline until the end, toeknee. Isn't that crazy?

Spreadsheet update: Like toeknee, my boyfriend's application was approved today and the COPR has also been issued. We have until January 21st to land. I sent them an email at the beginning of the week to check if they had received our additional documents and a few days later this happens! I wasn't expecting it at all, at least not so soon. We're over the moon. Oh, and ECAS is still showing 'in process' on our side too.

This forum has been the best, many thanks to everyone who helped answer our questions and managing the spreadsheets. I will of course come back as soon as he gets his COPR in the post. Good luck to everyone still waiting, it's a long frustrating road but we'll all get there in the end. ;)

Congratulations Charno, I am so happy for you - You're right, it is crazy that our in process times were exactly the same - it shows a fine level of consistency by CIC.

My wife had COPR received in the mail yesterday!!! Yayyyy! Dated 26th Sept :)

Question: and I'm sure it's been asked a billion times - as she is coming for Christmas but returning to England for a month to give notice to work - is she able to officially land at Christmas? Or should she land when she's coming back permanently?

Any advice please! :)

Congrats! She can 'land' at Xmas and then return to the UK if she wants. She'll need her PR card or. PR Travel Document though.

Can she use the COPR paperwork to travel? Because PR card will come after she's landed and as she's only here a week the card won't have arrived before she has to leave :/

No, she can't use her COPR to travel. If she doesn't have her PR card in time to return to Canada, she will need to apply for a PR Travel Document.

If she wants to avoid that process, she should just delay her landing until she is actually moving here.
