12 days to approve you for sponsorship - they probably didn't have time to send an AOR!!! Congratulation and on Ottawa, looks like it might be fast - fingers crossed. Spreadsheet updated.

Thanks - yes the only hiccups might be the fact that I've not yet sent my FBI police check, and we don't yet have citizenship certificate or passport proof that our daughter is Canadian.

In terms of processing your app, not having proof of citizenship for your child shouldn't affect it at all. She is still Canadian and they will know that.

However, in terms of moving to Canada, depending on where you are going, you may face issues accessing things like healthcare for your child without proof of citizenship.

Have you applied for a Certificate of Citizenship?

Hi, yes we've applied for the citizenship certificate. I hope you're right on not needing proof of her citizenship for my PR application. The document checklist in the IMM3901E country specific instructions says that citizenship certificate is needed for any family members who are Canadian citizens. Just now all we have is a birth certificate showing she was born in the UK to a mother who is a Canadian citizen by birth.

Got decision made today on October 18th! Please update my row on the spreadsheet. I'm a December 2015 applicant.

At last, it was quite a wait! Congratulations. Please let us know when you receive the paper COPR. Spreadsheet updated.

Indeed it was. I have no idea why LVO was so sluggish over the summer, but now we're seeing a flurry of activity all of a sudden which is great. BTW I forgot to mention that we were asked for proof of intent to return on September 16th, so that delayed us by about 30 days. Otherwise we probably would've gotten a decision made last month.

Yes, that wouldn't help! Spreadsheet updated.

Same thing for us! They received our docs (proof of intent + new passport photos) on October 3rd and no news yet. I hope we'll get DM soon and that the delay wont be more than a month. MyCIC hasn't been updated since they asked for the additional documents and it's been 23 days since they sent their request.

Thank you! I noticed that our background check status on MyCIC went from not started to in progress about 30 days after they sent us their request, and then five days after that we got a decision made. So wait another week and keep eye on your background check status.

Thanks! Our background check actually went in process a few days before they sent the document request, so the next stage should be DM (or receipt of documents if they ever choose to update it!). :)

Hi, I am new to this thread. I am currently residing here in UK... and currently on my federal application... just wondering if anyone is under QSW like me... thank you

For those not on B.E forum

Woohoo

I received 2 messages through mycic this morning to notify me that my application has been approved. My COPR has been issued and I have a year to 'land'.

My background check 'in progress' notification was only received yesterday, so I can only guess that mine was a pretty straight forward application.

Ecas is still showing 'in process' but i'm sure it will catch up!

Thanks to anyone who has helped and assisted on the way

Good Luck to one and all waiting for their application to be completed.
