COPR arrived today! :D Can now enjoy Christmas and then start planning for our move to Calgary. Have until June to land which ties in with our original plan to move after my eldest daughters GCSEs so will probably take a trip out in Feb to activate PR and do some house/job hunting. Thanks again to all on the site for their work and support.

Congratulations MKBrit, spreadsheet updated.

I live in Calgary so if you need info on good/not so good areas, and/or job advice let me know!

Just a quick update. We landed yesterday at the coutts border crossing yesterday. All went smooth. The whole process took around 40 minutes. They seemed a little concerned that he was on implied status but we had the receipt to prove he applied for a visitor extension.

Congrats to all the recent DM's

Merry Christmas to all

Congratulations! That is the border crossing I will go for. Did you go with him or did he go by himself?

I ask because if I get this week before Christmas day my wife and I might go down on Boxing day and land, just wondering if flagpoling with the sponsor would be any issue/just wondering if that is what you did.

Got a call from my bank today, they said they'd been called from immigration to check if we'd paid the Right of Permanent residence . . . . I immediately checked CIC application status to find 'Decision Made' however when i click it it doesn't give me an update.

We received your application for permanent residence on April 30, 2015.
We started processing your application on July 3, 2015.
Medical results have been received.

any idea on what happens next?

I do not see you on the spreadsheet. If you would like to be added please provide the following:

-Date application received in Mississauga
-Whether you applied as Married or Common-Law
-Date of sponsor approval
-Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email)
-Date the permanent residence status changed to In Process on ECAS
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt (if non-visa exempt) provide the applicant's nationality
-Decision Made date
-Date you received your visa
-Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific!
-Date of medical exam

Once I know more about your application then I can comment on what happens next.

Andrew it won't make any difference. You can go by yourself or together .. They just won't let the sponsor stand with you lol

Thanks for your reply Andrew, Ive been a fairly quiet observer until now. But the info has been invaluable. . . .

I have heard some people say that they drive to the border but then actually just walk down to the actual border crossing/officer. This apparently saves them time?

That what we are planning, then i don't have to line up in the queue for the car to get over, quicker to walk.

No issue at all. I went with him. We drove up to the USA side told them we were flag polling they took our passports and asked us to go inside. Then they came back with a piece of paper and we followed the agent in our vehicle as he directed us to the CANADA side. We then went into the CANADA side and all was processed. I was with him the whole time.

Also, When I click on Decision Made it doesn't give any more info? is that bad? Or normal

I still need to know

- if the applicant is visa exempt or not - what is the applicant's nationality?
- applicant's location
- optionally date of medical exam

- if the applicant is visa exempt or not - what is the applicant's nationality? British
- applicant's location - Toronto, ON
- optionally date of medical exam - March 2015

Thanks, I have added you to the spreadsheet. Please post in this thread once you receive your COPR.

It is normal for there not to be any additional lines. Another admin of the spreadsheet, princesstigger, went DM and then got the COPR and ECAS never showed any additional lines in their case.

Some users do, some do not. Do not stress if yours does not.

The next step will either be silence from LVO until one day your COPR arrives in the mail, or they will email you for a scan of your passport page, updated photos and an updated info chart. This request is not that common for applications being processed in London, it is more common for Ottawa applications but it does happen. It generally happens within 2 weeks of getting DM for visa exempt applicants being processed in London.
