Maybe SXB is just the medical officer? Who knows.

well she or he sucks. They sent me out a letter in July and didn't make it clear that both applicant and non accompany dependent required a new medical , when i sent them back a letter to (sXB) another officer replied (RME) (MP)REQUESTING A NEW MEDICAL ..

Does anyone have SXB working on their application? This was in the headline on my request for medical info. I assume it's a way for the information to link back to the officer working on my file?

We had SXB as well... Took 17 months, 2 medicals, 3 police checks and also had to send our final payment receipt through twice... Sorry to be the barer of bad news...

I'm really hopeing that they don't request that I do a new medical. It costs nearly $700 here in Fort Mac. Yuck. Spent so much money on this application already, plus not being able to work. Fingers Crossed. You probably spent a large amount having to re do two medicals so I feel the pain.

I sort of wish I hadn't asked that question now. Crossing my fingers that someone who has been approved with a time line of a year or under posts that they had SXB. How can one officer get away with being that slow when others are getting through applications in 4 months?!

Update : I did a quick google search of SXB and mostly threads for Islamabad london applications came up. Perhaps this is one of the officers that is dealing with those applications too and thats why they are so slow.

We had SXB in the subject line when they requested our police record (in error). But we were only 8 months start to finish, so SXB is not necessarily a bad sign! ☺

Great so i may get DM some time next year then.

After receiving an email for documents to 'finalize' my application on October 23rd, I received the exact same email again on November 24th. Originally I had mailed the documents but this time I replied to the email address that had emailed me and attached all necessary documents. Now today when I log on to ecas it says 'medical results received'. Keeping everything crossed that I will receive DM by Christmas, although not looking so likely...

I have SXB working on my application.

ECAS shows I got DM on 25 November - currently awaiting COPR (not sure if its a positive or negative decision !). I am currently in Toronto as a visitor - they have this address on my profile.

During the process I had two requests:

August: request for medical results. This was already included in the original application. I re-sumitted the form.
21 October: Request for Certificate of Marriage. I had previously sent CIC the 'long form' Marriage Licence/Certificate. But they wanted the 'short form' Marriage Certificate. I ordered this and emailed to CIC on 28 October.

Spreadsheet updated snowglobe.

As a reminder if the principal applicant's location change, or indeed if we are missing any information such as when your application went in process, please post here so we can update your row.

Thanks,
Andrew

Thanks,

Andrew,

My row is correct.

The only update is I (the principal applicant) have been in Toronto though out the process. I have just gone back and forth to the UK at the 6 month point.

GOOD LUCK to everyone waiting!

Will update when I receive COPR. Fingers crossed it's a positive decision.

I have SXB. My notes don't really fill me full of confidence that he is exactly on top of his game.
