prairiegirl22: Thanks, spreadsheet updated. All the best with your landing.

Beal Feirste: Do you have any convictions since you were 16? If so did these show up on your police clearance certificate? Yes the proof you mentioned for proving sponsor's intent is good. If you have a lease/mortgage include that too.

jonnylad: Another user (Spud85, an October 2014 applicant) received COPR and then got the same request after you. I advised him to email London and ask what the deal is. You should do the same. I am not sure if Sud85 has heard anything back from London.

CanadaCanary: No it should not slow your application down but you are still well within the average processing time so I doubt they have anything of note to tell you. To order notes you do not do so via a CSE but rather through this page.
Thanks Andrew, that was kinda my thoughts but wanted to get someone else's view. Much appreciated!

Thanks Andrew. I received a caution while at secondary school aged 17 for a minor offence and another caution while at university aged 19 for drunken student pranks. My police certificate said no live trace which meant there was some record of the offences. I thought I would not have to declare these as they were over 20 years ago and deemed to be stepped down. Can I write these on a piece of paper and attach it with the documents requested? I have 45 days to reply but I can scan and email everything to my sister who can then post the documents first thing Monday morning. How long then until they look at my file again? Looks like you and I are in no mans land together. It is unreal that London have left things like this for so long!!

Sucks for the more police info request. Normally I wouldn't say anything but my ex-UK police boyfriend says that a piece of paper might not be good enough (I mean, it would be easy to lie).

He says you should probably do a request for your actual official criminal records, just to prove to CIC there isn't something more serious.
It's called a subject access request and you need to get it from the police force where you used to live, or through ACRO.

It would just cover your bases since CIC is unlikely to do this legwork for you.

That being said, if someone has had success with just writing down the convictions, that's fine. I just think it's better to give LVO the legit documents so they can process things more easily.

Thanks misslisa. I did think of the subject access request however it can take up to 40 days to process and requires copies of id. I'm currently in Canada and all of my legal identification documents are with me!! That and the fact that I have 45 days to reply to their request kind of puts me up the creek without a paddle. I'm pretty sure that CIC are aware of any major crimes committed by applicants. It was perhaps an oversight on my part thinking that teenage behaviour would still be an issue after all these years!!!

CIC will need actual official documents regarding the cautions; an explanation from yourself won't mean anything, as you could simply lie.

If you cannot obtain the documents in time, you can submit proof that you have requested them and ask for an extension. CIC usually grants extensions when they can see that you are making the effort to comply.

Just for future record your no live trace will stay on your record until you are 99 years of age or die before . As others have said you need to get the notes from your arrest . A simple letter is not going to do the trick. You may find that you may have to apply for the record from the courts or the police station where you were arrested. Good luck

Hi all,

We received an email with subject "Ready for Visa" from Ottawa on 19 Nov with photo, passport scan and update info chart request. Ecas also changed to "Decision Made" on the same day. Although our app has been processing at Ottawa, it has asked us to send these items to LVO, unless we are in Canada atm (and plan to be for the next 3 months), then to send to Ottawa.

Has anyone else had the same?

Good luck to all the 2014 apps still waiting, we hope you hear back soon.

Will keep you posted as to when COPR arrives.

Spreadsheet updated DPParmer, congratulations, this is your decision made!

Are you still located in London, UK as per the spreadsheet?

This is a very common request, if you read this thread at all you will see many others getting the same request.

Then send the documents to London. As Andrew said this is quiet common when the application is processed in Ottawa

I have added you to the spreadsheet. Keep us updated on your application's progress.
Sponsor:
Started processing April 30, 2015
Correspondence sent re decision May 29, 2015

Permanent residency:
Started processing June 3 2015
Decision made November 19, 2015

I'm not sure what the decision IS yet, but they've made one without sending any correspondence yet, anyone have experience of this?

They requested further info mid October re intent to relocate to Canada if PR is granted, worth noting as a comment.

Thanks! I think I'm done here! I hope!
