Spud I was wondering if you can help. Some applicants get DM and then get a request for scans of passport pages, new photos and an updated information chart, but you never got that.

I personally think it has something to do with the applicant's location. Have you been in Canada since you applied? Also has your passport expired since you applied for PR, and if so I presume you sent them a copy of your new one?

Just trying to figure out the criteria used to work out who gets this request and who does not.

No problem happy to help! I have lived in Canada since applying with the occasional trip for holidays (Mexico, Asia and U.K). In October I have returned to Canada from my trip to UK as a visitor (work visa expired and P.R in process) and received a 6 month visitor visa upon entry...

No my passport didn't expire. I applied with the same one I have now and it still has a good few years left on it.

I will be driving to the border tomorrow with my wife as its a public holiday will let you know how the day went.

Andrew, you might be right on. My wife hasnt been in Canada since we applied in May and her passport will only expire in 3 years.
Hope this can shed some light on the criteria used on who gets this request.
Cheers

Right but your application isn't being processed in Ontario, its in London. Which is closed.

Sure...my point was that its not a public holiday throughout Canada so i think they shouldnt be closed.... just an opinion...

Looks like you linked the French office. The UK office doesn't have that date as closed.

Just over a month since 'Decision Made' appeared in my ECAS, and I received my COPR yesterday, Nov 10th. To the day, it's been exactly one year since we posted the physical application.

Great relief to see the expiration date is the date of my passport expiration (in nine years!). I knew that was the likelihood, as my medical was done over a year ago, but it's funny to see a date quite so far in the future.

Thanks to Andrew for everything - best of luck everyone else.
