Hi warzo.

Some applicants are never able to log in to ECAS.

Just make sure that for him you choose the country he was born in (England/Scotland/Ireland/Wales) instead if United Kingdom.

And you are probably aware but logging in as the sponsor shows the status of sponsor and permanent residence application whereas logging in with just the applicant's details only shows the PR application status.

Oh maybe! But it does say in the requirements:

One photo must bear the name and complete address of the photo studio and the date the photo was taken
must be included on the back of one photo. The photographer may use a stamp or handwrite
this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable.

The photo specifications that apply to you are given in Appendix B of the country-specific guide. If you have a look, you will see no such requirement.

taffy, in the last notes I ordered, on page 29 it shows that my file left Mississauga on the 3rd of November and it arrived in London on the 12th of November. My In Process date in ECAS is November 12th, so I presume that London received your application on November 7th.

Can you look for the text PAPER FILE HISTORY in your notes, for me the section starts on page 28. The entries will be sorted newest to oldest so go to the end. The last one should be an in transit note going from Mississauga to London, and the one before the last should say Office: London and Location: Registry.

Looking at my notes under eligibility, security and criminality they all say Due Date: 2015/10/31, is that what you mean by bring forward date taffy?

Due date is a bring forward date ,from what i have understood in the past .

Yes this set of notes say in progress London 2014/11/08 , no other notes have that. I checked all 6 before that .

a) others can give you answers (believe it or not I am not on this site 24/7)
b) the advice provided by whoever can be corrected if it is incorrect. I prefer not to answer questions by private message for this reason.

Passport request (PPR) comes in 1 - 2 weeks, some people have to wait upto a month, so expect it any day. It is the discretion of a VO to either extend the validity of initial medical to one full year or call for re-med. Recently, all 2015 applicants have their DMs without re-meds, thus it is a possibility that their medical validity has been extended. You can find this when you will get your COPR.

Last night we checked wife's (PA) eCAS and fourth line was added under her PR application column.
1. We received your application for permanent residence on September 10, 2014.
2. We started processing your application on November 12, 2014.
3. Medical results have been received.
4. We sent you correspondence on October 5, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

We actually received an email from NDVO on Friday for another re-med, so is that the thing LVO is referring to?

We (me and my Scots/Irish wife) are about to embark on this journey and have encountered the first of probably many questions. We live in Belfast and there's nowhere in Northern Ireland does the medical. Would she be grand doing it in Dublin? Or does she have to go across the pond? My time line is as follows:
Application filed: Oct 2014
Sponsor Approval: Feb 2nd 2015
In-process date: 7th Sep 2015
Visa office-London
In 7th Oct my wife got a letter from LVO stating that your sponsor should need to prove a continued residency in Canada while sponsorhip application is in process. But unfortunately I was out of Canada from last year due to some personal problem. I am landing on 18th Oct in Canada. Now how can I prove my comtinued residency and send a letter to LVO within 30 days?? Please share some ideas if you guys know.. in this case I fruitfull to hire a immigration lawyer?? Pls help

No, I have stated many times that visa offices are backdating your in process date to shortly after they received your application from Mississauga. In your case you got SA on 28th of April and then somewhere in between then and the 4th of May Ottawa received your application.

Ah sorry! I thought you were referring to more recent applications that were going into process on ecas right away. I guess we stick to the 24 Sep date that ecas went into process to count from.

Just saw now that we are in process! Guessing the status changed Friday (the only day I never checked!)! Says they started processing it May 5.

No emails or requests for documents so I guess we just wait??
