Also, i have heared from various couples that I should continue to update the LVO of all the little details of my married life, i.e. visiting Pakistan, taking personal trips, pics. etc... How true is this?

Personally, I think it just bothers them. They outline clearly what you need to contact them about - birth of a child being one of the things! - But emailing for every little trip etc just creates unnecessary work. I wouldn't do it.

Don't if they want something they will ask . No wonder processing is taking well over a year if people are sending in updates every 5 minutes. Ones who don't abide by the rules in my books should be put on the back burner ,just causes more work for the officer. A birth of a child, divorce ,change of address .

I just read. Copr is a confirmation letter ill get. When do they ask for the passport and visa stamping then?

Im from pakistan. They first ask you to send their passports and then they stamp your visa. I wanted to ask if they do it via post or email

The normal trend these days is that LVO will send email after 15 days days of DM. That is called PPR asking for passport submission to CHC Islamabad via VFS, the visa stamping will take another 15-20 days and you will receive your visa along with COPR.
