Hi All,

Received SA recently and file has been transferred to London. What is the average processing time for British applicants in London? We were hoping to be in Canada by December but not sure if this is possible.

Thanks all!
Congratulations on getting SA. You are looking on about 10/11 months to get corp. You never know though it could speed up.

Don't see you on the spreadsheet, do you want to be added? If so then I need to know the date you applied, when you got SA, if yuo applied married or common-law, and where you're currently living.

As for "what is the average processing time", the spreadsheet linked in my signature answers that.

Was it sent/addressed to the applicant or the sponsor? Just trying to work out where the letter will go for us

It was an email sent to the sponsor (same email address that AOR was sent to).

No point getting in a flame war, but the argument of us paying taxes to support them is nonsense. If there was no monarchy do you think the UK government would tax us less? No.

Yeah got it. no point getting in flame war. £40 - £50 million tax money is nothing, its birth right.

COPR received today, only extended my medical by a couple of weeks so we have to land by 9th July. Not sure whether to hit the whisky or the red bull.

Hi Brucem, congrats on the COPR, I hope you can easily get over there in time. Can I ask when your original medicals were due to expire?

I am expecting to have a similar situation of probably not having much time on my COPR.

Thanks,

kks

Mine was due to expire on 26th June so they only gave me two weeks extra but we were processed through Ottawa. Someone else posted recently but I can't remember whether they were through London or Ottawa but their medicals were extended to March next year!

from what I can tell is that it's upto the VO how they decide on the extension of the med.

Not sure if anyone can answer this but in regards to cic requesting your passport....at what stage is this done and how long do you have to submit it? We got sa last week and file has gone to ottawa so thinking its at least 7 months wait or? We are planning a holiday and I don't want to mess things up :-X

ALL. The reason why some applications are being processed in Mississauga is if the principal applicant states their residential and mailing address as one in Canada!

If your not actually living in Canada you would have probably stated your UK address on the application form.

If you are living in Canada but still used your residential address as the UK one, don't be surprised if you application is being processed in London office and not MISSISSAUAGA!!!

thanks for letting me know. I have pre-emptively written to London to ask if we should redo our medicals or if they can extend them by 3 months for us but as yet have not heard anything back...

Not true, at least for. I put down my Canadian address for residential and current and my application went to London.

Where did you get this info from?

I believe the process changed recently. We could do a show of hands of those who quoted their UK address as oppose to those quoting Canadian and see the results? Perhaps an extra column in the spreadsheet?
