Hello
I checked ECAS this morning and I've gone to Decision Made. Relief! I checked it last night and it was sitting in Application Received status still so just went right to DM.

For anyone in the same time frame:

Application Received July 14, 2014
Sponsor Approval August 28, 2014
Additional Doc's requested (Intent to move, NZ police check, Common law declaration): December 19, 2014 (sent Jan 2nd, 2015)
In process: April 17, 2014 (but was never updated on ECAS but in notes now)
Decision Made: April 20, 2014

Currently living in London, UK. Outland, Common Law, Ottawa office.

BruceM, good luck! You've got to be next if not already!

Hi guys,

I just received an email mentioning that my application has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2015/03/12 on behalf of my wife. I guess this is AOR.

London is running slower than that at the moment. If you look at the spreadsheet the last 20 decisions averaged 10 months and I suspect will slip further.

I engaged my MP's office yesterday so will let you know what they say (13 months and counting still Application Received)

Spreadsheet updated, congrats! Don't forget to let us know when you get COPR, and as you're in London it will be a signed-for delivery, so watch for that red slip from the postie as well!

Yep, there's a new chart on the cover sheet that just looks at the last 20 decisions. London is averaging pretty much right on 10 months. Ottawa is at 7 months, Mississauga is at 3.6 months.

Good luck with the MP, keep us updated. Fingers crossed for you!! GUessing your notes haven't arrived yet either? MIght be worth trying to chase that as well.

Hi guys slightly confused. So i want to apply outland (im from the U.K) can i send my application outland via the Mississauga office? As that seems the quickest way. Also are the outland and inland forms similar?

http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Spousal_Sponsorship-Canada/FAQ#What_parts_of_the_application_get_sent_where_and_when.3F

Which office will process Stage 2 is up to CIC. http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Spousal_Sponsorship-Canada/FAQ#What.27s_going_on_with_the_Mississauga.2FOttawa.2FLondon_situation_for_British_outland_applicants.3F

The forms are different. Make sure you are using the correct set. For outland, select the forms titled as your partner lives outside of Canada, even if they are in Canada.

Read the FAQ, it sounds like it wll answer quite a lot of your questions. :) Good luck!

Thanks for the update.

I am bit worried regarding sponsorship approval. I took bank loan (this is the pre-approved loan) after I sent our application package. However, I am paying my monthly premium and also, never been bankrupted or fail to pay any debt.

As has been said before, as long as you are not bankrupt and not collecting welfare, you are fine to be a sponsor. There is no financial requirement otherwise to be a sponsor for your spouse. You're fine.

I have the same timeline as you for application received and sponsor approval, but I'm in London unfortunately.. Nice to see some decisions being made even if they are elsewhere!
