Hi guys was just after some advice and a friendly pick me up. I know you all going to say wait and they are doing it but it has really got me worried.

My husband and I received our AOR on 20th march and still haven't heard about SA. Now the avg days are 3-6 and now it's been 11 days. . is this a good thing as they might be processing the PR at the same time? I saw the Andyb users SA took two weeks but his PR was super quick.
It also has gone over the suggested processing times stated on the cic website so not sure if I should be contacting them

Thanks cassandra

You are NOT over processing time. Your application was received on 22 January. The website says they are working on applications received on 19 January. So you still have some time. In addition, no one after you on the spreadsheet had heard either. As we've said before, approvals don't go strictly in order but they do go generally in order plus or minus about 2 weeks. All AOR means is that "we have your package and we opened it up". It does NOT mean they have started processing it, it just simply means that they have it and were nice enough to send you an email to say that. If they hadn't emailed, you wouldn't even be here asking this. :)

So just sit tight. Don't contact them yet - you aren't over the processing time. If the "processing applications received on x" goes into February and you STILL haven't heard, THEN get in touch. Otherwise just sit tight. :)

I do not have access to the spreadsheet right now so I can't check the AOR average, but remember that the 5 days you quoted is an average. Some take longer.

The processing time has only started coming down recently. I advise people that you should receive SA within 2 weeks of AOR. Give it until the end of this week.

Also try and keep calm. Remember the overall process average is 8 months so you potentially have a long way to go!

Thanks for replying
I know we should just sit and wait but we are just so excited...time just seems to be standing still
Fingers crossed it's in the next few weeks 8)

Just want to update the spreadsheet.

Got Stage 1 approval on 17th March, 88 days after application was received in Mississauga.
Medical was requested on 13th March....despite having done one prior to submitting the application. I have since sent proof of medical, hoping there won't be any further delays! :(

Oh and application is being processed in Mississauga.

Thanks!

Spreadsheet updated, thanks!

Did you submit the printout the doctor gave you when you applied?

Hello there!

Please Please forgive me for asking this question! I am going to assume that when a decision is made they just write a generic message along the lines of ' we will contact (applicants name) concerning this decision' it just sounds so ominous like there is something to be worried about. no doubt it is all in my head but sometimes at the last minute i feel like you go over it all in your head and could it be declined etc.
sorry just having a moment!

Congratulations ,you will be here for the nice weather . :D They would have asked for an interview if your application was going to be refused.

I might just keep an eagle eye on your updates. Looks like our applications went in the same time and are sitting at the same approximate stage :) Best of luck!

Quick question that I could not find on the FAQ.
How long roughly do they give you to validate/land in Canada? Just trying to decide whether I need to make 2 trips or they may give me enough time to sort everything out then move.
There was an answer in the FAQ but did not refer do rough timing between receiving the COPR and the date you must validate it at immigration, airport etc

thank you kindly!!
