I was wondering if I could get the spreadsheet updated please. I received SA on Feb 12th and then received an email from CPC Mississauga on Feb 13th requesting a copy of passport, 2 photos and an updated info form. Passport request i presume? thank you

"Dear Everyone,
Decision on my application was made on Dec 28, 2014. Received email for sending the passport to CHC Islamabad on Jan 19, 2014 which has been sent through TCS on next day e.g. Jan 20, 2015.

Hello All!

Just wanted to update that our file has gone into 'In Process' as of Feb 6, 2015! (though it didnt update until today)

Now I shall stalk to ecas site until we see that magical decision made..

1) For my document checklist do I use the British Information Guide (IM3901) or the Latin America (IM3908) guide? It says 'depending on where you live' but some of the requirements in the Latin America guide are not very relevant to my situation since I only have 2 year residency.

2) I have residency in Bolivia until May 2016, however, my work contract ends in August 2015 and at that point I will be returning to the UK. We are submitting our papers in March, this year, will I need to notify CIC of the change at the time or should I make them aware of it in my application?

1. Use the UK guide and apply through London.

2. Notify CIC of the address change when you actually move.

Some applicants receive a passport request after ECAS has changed to Decision Made. Spreadsheet updated. Congratulations!

Status update from my side, I got request for submitting military exemption proof on December 19th and sent it out on December 22nd. Just checked ECAS and the status changed today to Decision Made! Great start to 2015 (Happy new year to all by the way!)

My question, is how soon should I be expecting a postal mail? And also my passport is non-visa exempt and I am currently not in the UK for a long business trip, will I have to send my passport to the embassy in London?

Hey Haf07. I have a question for you. I see that you were asked to submit a military exemption proof to CIC. I am assuming you were serving in the military. What kind of proof did you provide. Details would be much appreciated - can't tell you how GREAT of a help that would be.

I really appreciate the information provided both this thread, and in that spreadsheet, which has very much calmed my nerves since I saw the update on the CIC site.

My file was sent to London, UK, as I expected, rather than being retained in Ontario. Currently carrying out the mandatory Undertaking Application to QC (applicable because we'll be living in Quebec). Hopefully that doesn't slow anything down.

Question for everyone,
When waiting for stage one approval did anyone hear anything for cic during the processing time or was it silence until stage one had been approved?

I'm about to hit day 80 and not heard anything. Should I go with no news is good news and call them once the suggested processing time passes? I didn't receive anything from them even to let me know they received my application. I only know it arrived because it was sent tracked and signed for.

Because of the increase of processing time for Stage 1, a lot of applicants on here receive an acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) around the 90 day mark, and then anywhere from 0 days to 2 weeks later receive sponsor approval. Look for the thread/spreadsheet for the month you applied and you should be able to see when others have received AOR/SA.

I never heard anything (app sent in Aug 14) and by the time it was a month past the stated length of processing time for stage 1 on the CIC website was really worried. I eventually found a number to call CIC from outside Canada +1 613 9444 000 and after you go through a few options it gets you to the call centre dealing with immigration applications.

Anyway it turned out I had had stage 1 approval a month before but never got any email or anything. The call centre also gave me my Unique client number so I could track it myself and resent the emails to me.

It's crazy that you had SA for a month and they didn't tell you! I guess that with the number of apps they deal with some will slip through the cracks.
