Agree with Schnookololy see what comes up with the MP first then you can always request the notes after.spears said:Interesting. Do you think we should do this in addition to making a case-specific enquiry and getting the local MP to follow up?

yes. it simply means you can't use it in replacement of your passport. keep both copies safe. the immigration officer will keep the one with your picture, and will staple the other copy to your passport.qtazngal said:Hi
I've noticed something on the COPR it has "Not Valid for Travel" on it. We have 2 copies 1 for CIC copy with my husband's pic and the other one is for client copy. Is this normal that Not Valid for Travel?
Thank you
Many thanks Rcohen for your reply which gave me clarity. Will keep them safe.rhcohen2014 said:yes. it simply means you can't use it in replacement of your passport. keep both copies safe. the immigration officer will keep the one with your picture, and will staple the other copy to your passport.
yes, you can do that even if you have condition 51. if you are visa exempt all you will need is your passport and copr. the passport will allow you to fly to canada, and the copr will allow you to enter as a pr. traveling has nothing to do with condition 51 unless someone plans to stay outside of canada long term.Graihn said:Quick question:
Since I do not have a condition on my CoPR (mainly referring to C. 51), can I enter Canada, apply for PR card, and leave and re-enter the country without my PR card with just the copy of the CoPR stapled in my passport? I am asking because I will have to leave for a wedding in Sweden within two months from when I land, and I am not sure of what the PR card arrival timeline is.
Or is there some form of travel documentation I need to acquire?
Well, based on what they requested you to ring, the evidence for that was clearly not sufficient for them. So get that ready, and as long as you don't have gaps or if your relationship is not genuine, there is nothing to worry about.Gatawa04 said:hi all
