I won't get to see it until tomorrow but I'm wondering whether this is my COPR or if it's a letter regarding my extension as a visitor (which would be strange since I applied online) :o

I applied online for a visitor extension in the past and if the application is successful they do send a paper copy of the visitor record to you. When you check its progress online does it say approved?

Yes, it says that it was approved. And that they would send a letter to my account, so I was assuming that would be online. But I guess it's probably that then, it's been like 3 weeks since it was approved so I was getting a bit worried since I never got a letter. Well then I guess I'm a bit less excited (haha)...

Hi there,

I am a UK citizen with a Canadian fiance We have just submitted our application for permanent residency to Mississauga (outland thru London) and are keeping our fingers crossed that all goes well with it.

It has taken up a lot of our time and we had to take a break from the contract work we were doing, but now we want to get back to our lives while we are waiting.

We do contract work for a travel company around the world and are lining up more contracts but are wondering what would happen if we were away travelling for several months if and when CIC requested my passport?
That might be not be for a year or so (depending on processing times) but we could be abroad then.

Do you get given a set time period within which to submit your passport or can you postpone this for a few months until you are ready? Also, what is the likelihood of being called for an interview?

It would be great to find out if anyone knows about this.

Thanks very much
P

Please do not duplicate your post. You have another thread with this exact question.

As has been requested, please do not submit the same question in multiple places. I'm answering your question on your other thread now.

Sounds about right! Around three weeks after my visitor visa extension was approved I received a hard copy in the mail. Didn't need a signature from Canada Post either.

Ok guys so I'm totally stressing out now, I'm landing tomorrow my flight is in 9 hours

My baggage is excessively over the weight limit I forgot to do those stupid goods landing forms - I have no access to a printer now and I'm worried about what address to give at landing for my pr card

We have a po box but our house address will be changing in a couple days

Do they need a house address as well as a po box address or just the po box?

And there's just loads of other stuff I haven't done

Anyway thanks everyone and congrats to those with recent decision mades!

Applied for sponsorship of my husband Jan 02, 2014
File transferred from CPC Mississauga to LVO on Feb 05, 2014
File yet to be reviewed by Immigration Officer in LVO

Is Jan 2 the day your application was received? That is the day we go by, not the day you mailed it. Also is Feb 5 the date of your sponsor approval? Is the applicant visa exempt? We also need the city the COPR will be mailed to once a decision has been made.

After you provide this information I will be able to add you to the spreadsheet :)

hello,

I have just found this thread, which is extremely useful. I applied in November 2013 for common-law sponsorship through the London office. They approved my sponsor in December and forwarded it to London. It was received and they began processing in February 2014. I was emailed by the London office for the RPRF and further travels almost immediately in Feb, but I have heard NOTHING since.

I tried looking at the spreadsheet and I see a number of people in August, October and November 2013 have had decisions made… Does this mean they have received their PR?

It is VERY stressful as my work visa just ran up at the end of August, I have applied for a Visitor visa as I'm still in Canada, and my work is holding my job for me.

Does anyone have any advise on how much longer I should expect to wait?????

Thank you all!

Hey
I have applied for Spousal Sponsorship in may 2014.

I was notified via email that the file was sent to London in july 2014.

According to the online application status it says "Decision Made" under Sponsorship Application Status, and "Application Received" under Permanent Residence Application Status.
What would be the next step or thing that I would be looking forward to?

In process >> decision made

If you haven't paid right of permanent residence fee you will want to see a request for that before decision made.
