From what I have read on this thread after browsing it for a few months, it totally depends on which visa officer (VO) you get. One might not update it until it is in process, and one might not update it until the decision has been made.saeedar said:Hi,
My spouse sponsorship was approved recently and she got a letter saying that my application has been sent to London office.
Should I receive a letter or they would update application status online when London office receives my application?
Thanks!
As far as I can remember, no one has received an AOR from London (either by email or online), unless it was in response to a specific inquiry. Possibly some have that I have missed, but I don't think you should be surprised if you hear nothing until Decision Made.saeedar said:Hi,

Updated, congrats!pudding said:Sponsor approved 20th December. Application now in London. They sent it to the wrong email address to start with. Can you please update the spreadsheet. Thanks Dan
They do not return them. I photocopied - (double sided) are cards. I told them I kept the originals due to sentimental reasons but would comply and send originals if so requested. They didn't request.andrew-brit said:I am preparing my application and just have an inquiry.
I will include photos, letters, emails, etc showing that my marriage to my Canadain wife is real, do they return anything I send them? I was going to include some nice wedding cards friends gave to us and would like to keep them.
Thanks,
Andrew
The answer depends on whether the child is a Canadian citizen. Not every child born outside Canada to a Canadian parent is automatically a Canadian since the law changed in 2009.stu08 said:My wife is Canadian but our Baby was born in the UK.
Should I be making the London office aware, or can I declaire her as a dependant when we land? I'm hoping this doesn't have an effect on the decision.
Congratulations! Would you tell me what ECAS and AOR stands for? I am new in this forum.MCARTER82 said:Just checked ECAS and it has changed to "In Process" as of January 16, 2014.
