Hello,

I sponsored my wife who lives in Pakistan in Aug 2013, received email about sponsorship approval and file transfer to CHC Islamabad, then after 20 days received another mail that due to operational reasons your file is transferred to CHC London rather than Islamabad, Have not heard anything from CHC London so far. I know processing times are far faaaaaaaaaar better for London. I guess its good for me and my spouse. When to expect start of processing or communication from CHC London. my timelines are in my profile or under my name.

I checked my application status yesterday.... no change.
On a whim I checked this morning.... In process! (dances round the living room)

Started processing the application on November 6 2013.
Medical results have been received.



Please could somebody update the spreadsheet?

Hey all,
Anyone who has received their CoPR and has it sent to their Canadian address give me an approximate time as to how long it took at arrive, the visa office has told me they sent it on the 15th Oct and have still not received anything, im thinking it may be time to follow up on it?

it usually takes maximum 2 weeks, so it would probably be a good idea to check with them.

You can check the spreadsheet in my signature to have an idea. Non-visa-exempt applicants applications take usually a little longer because of background checks, and because your file has been transferred from another VO, it's difficult to know if they will follow London's timeline (which I hope for you of course), or ISL - not so good. If your application has been transferred end of October, and they follow the London's timeline, you probably have a good 4 to 5 months before you hear anything - but that's a guesstimate, nothing else. London doesn't usually send anything until they start looking at your application, and they ask for passport at the end of the process, when they're ready to issue the visa - unlike other VOs who ask for it at the beginning of the process.

Firstly... Respect to all the War Heros old and new.

Secondly; its been my D-Day too... My ECAS has changed to 'Decision Made'!!!

I guess this coud be a good thing? if it is... what happens next?

Also, Please can you up-date the spreadsheet? with the following info:

18th Oct - blank Email from London with IMM1017 form attached (turns out i need to re-do medical as mine expired end of Sept).

1st Nov - Medical re-done (Emedical way)

11th Nov - ECAS changed from 'In-process' to DM.

Hey there. Hope all are well. Got a decision made today! I know i should be ecstatic but the wording seems to worry me a little. On ecas it says

"A decision has been made on your application, the office will contact you concerning this decision"

Can anyone else read anything into that? Or am i just worried for no reason?

Hi,

That is the wording the use for everyone who get a decision made. They will not advise of the decision on Ecas, you will have to wait until your receive their letter in the mail. This is why it says the office will contact you.

Congratulations.

You will need to wait until you receive you Confirmation of Permanent Residence in the Post from CIC.

Once you receive this your next step will be to either leave canada if you are already here and land by flagpoling (going to the US and returning to canada to have your PR application finalised) or you can try and make an appointment with a local CIC office in Canada and Land that way.

If you are outside of Canada, when you reach the border officers at the airport advise them that you are wanting to land as a Permanent Resident and they will go through the process there..

We emailed them asking when our original COPR was sent, and they told us the 16th, but when we actually received the document, it was postmarked the 21st. I would still enquire just to make sure, ours only took 9 days to get to Alberta.

Ralphstars - Emedical is a new thing that the doc's use now-a-day.
Basically means that your medical information is in 'Electronic format'. So instead of sending you results/info in the post to Missisaga then London. It is available to them 'on screen' saving potentially weeks of time in the process.

I think most if not all immigration doctors use this process now - you may want to check with your Doc beforehand though.

I don't know if it's relevant in the notes that my SA took twice the time as I missed off my family form originally and the app was sent back to me (duh).
