Are you still waiting for the letter regarding the landing fees?

yes - they wouldn't deny you without a chance for an interview etc. Maybe the copies of your passport (page with all the data) was not readable enough, or maybe they want to make sure that you have not changed passport - that's why they're asking for a copy of it. Ottawa ( VO for US applicants) does the same, and it seems like a good idea to check with the applicant that the passport is the same... so it's definitely coming to an end for you - stor grattis! :-)

Thanks, Sweden! I can't believe I'm nearly there!!

Hey all,

So it would appear you can take the notes your order surrounding your application with a pinch of salt.

I raised concerns last week with CIC that it states they haven't rec'd my photographs, RCMP check or fees.

I asked them about this and rec'd this reply:

Dear Mr. Marsden,

Thank you for your e-mail.

Please be advised that your photographs have been received.

An RCMP criminal record check has been completed by our office.

No fees are outstanding on your application.

Once background checks have been completed we will be in a position to finalise your application.

I hope this information is of assistance.

Yours sincerely,

There we have it...

Ok... that's interesting. But it seems like good news for you! Only background checks to go and then you are done my friend! :)

Awesome thank you. Might sound daft but I have never had to get a bankers draft, so I don't really know what they are...lol I'm sure it will all be fine. I get anxiety for a few hours then I calm down...just extra anxious because I don't have all my things like a 'printer' to print the form, here...I think a trip to walmart is in order :)

At my home in Scotland I had my wee immigration office where I had everything ready incase they requested something...right now I have my clothes and a laptop..lol

Anyway, thanks for the advice!!

MPs office here in Canada called back. Apparently my case was approved on July 31st and my "letter" was issued on August 5th but we're still waiting for it to arrive. Uncertain if it comes to us or to the lawyer we have working for us.

eCAS still says "In Process" rather annoyingly. Others might be finished already too but not know it. Hopefully those around me in the spreadsheet find eCAS updating or a surprise letter on in the mailbox any day now.

For me hopefully the paperwork shows up in a few days and I can get back to my job.

Hopefully everyone else hears quickly too.

Congratulations! My COPR arrived 1 day after my case went to DM on ECAS, which was about 1 week after they told me it had been issued via a CSE. Watch that mailman! You're nearly there!

Well thats the last pickle. Not sure if the letter goes to the lawyer first (my mailing address on eCAS is listed as their address) or if it'll come to my home address (only listed under my wifes eCAS login)

I moved on August 1st...so if it comes to "us" it'll go to my old address...Asked the new guy living there to hold any mail that comes for me so it shouldn't be a big problem regardless.

Seems the lawyer has it and they want their last $25 to courier it. Seems a bit steep to go one province over lol
