Hmmm... well it would appear the address change on CIC I had last week was an anomaly. I have not received a decision made, but today my application does now state that I am "in process".

It is wonderful that something is moving in London finally, but jeez! Way to get a guy's hopes up! Does anyone know how long it can sit "in process" for? Should I make myself comfortable for a long haul do you think?

*Sigh*. Back to the job hunt.

David :)

that's too bad!! sorry to hear that, indeed that's not a way to do things! it can be in process for a few days, or for a few ... months. So I hope your case is rather the first one...
now - because they have already put your "home address", I would assume that you should be fairly close to the end...
Good luck with the job hunt!

I am hoping that because it is a clear case that it will be pushed through quickly.

Time to have a drink and forget about this over the weekend. Now where did I put my beer....

If she doesn't need a visa to enter Canada, then they will issue a COPR (confirmation of PR) and send it to her mailing address ( I suppose it's in Norway). with that, she can land as PR when she arrives in Canada. She shouldn't say anything about having her COPR when she boards the plane, as the airline staff are not trained to recognize a COPR and might get confused. If she has a passport to allows her to travel to Canada without a visa, then she can just say she is going for a visit. Once she arrives in Canada, she can tell the immigration officer that she needs to land as a PR and present her passport + COPR.
She won't need to send her passport if she doesn't require a visa to enter Canada.
The medicals might be extended, if it has been done less than 15 months ago. But it can only be done if it is not expired already. Police certificates - it really depends, so I don't really know about that.
If it goes into "decision made" without more request for info, it means that the COPR has been sent out!
Good luck,
Sweden

I hve got indian passport so Do u think I will get passport request first or just COPR ?? I hve applied through a consultant so will CIC will update that address to my home address on the ecas before or after decision making? Sometimes i get more confused wen I read posts here :'(

If you are not visa-exempt, you will get a passport request.

Dear everyone, I NEED HELP.
I'm freaking out so much.... I just checked ECAS and it says DECISION MADE.
It can't be....can't be, I mean...we only got SA in January.
There's the home address stating one in Canada (city+province), and they say they started to process my application on April 23rd and they've made a decision. I know I sound so stupid and annoying but...can it be a refusal? Or is it possible it'll go back to "in process" after this? I wasn't contacted, didn't receive requests for information.. please someone tell me it's not bad news! I'm just in shock. Ok just checked ecas again and it still says DM.

Are you visa exempt? If so, enjoy the moment! Congrats

Yeah, I am...thanks, I feel like it's not my turn yet, maybe it's just a mistake or something.
I've been reading this thread for some time now and I was expecting you to have a DM long time ago, you really deserve it and I feel bad you've had to wait so long.

Don't feel bad. Of course it is your 'turn'. Your application was straight forward and processed in good time! Enjoy it. Would you like to see your name is Red?

Thank you so much, I truly hope it really is a positive dm :D
Hmm I think I'll wait a little until I receive the letter so that I can be sure my file really is processed...as you see I quite don't believe it yet, we had to wait a lot for stage 1 and I can't believe stage 2 would be done so fast!

yeah!! grattis! :-) CIC put your address as "city, province, Canada", and decision made: that's an approval! :-) you're done, congrats! most likely your COPR has been sent out already. Mine said "we started processing ... on the 5th November", ecas turned DM on the 8th, and that was the day it was posted. So - time to stalk to postman! if you have your home address on ecas, that's where the COPR will arrive. Most likely in 5 days, given that you're in Europe but outside of the UK....
Time to book a plane ticket! :-)

No Worries, you just let me know when it sinks in and and you want the spreadsheet changed. I'm sure it will be positive.

don't worry about it - it's positive! CIC has put your home address as Canada - that's the best proof that you're done. PLus - it's DM, and you're visa-exempt, so it's all good! :-)

Sweden: once again a big tack so mycket to you!!!!!
I'm actually visiting my husband here in Canada...since the day they started to process my file! The CBSA agent asked me so many questions about if I'm landing now and if I got my papers and I was just thinking why would he ask me all that, they must be trick questions and I was just happy I knew what those terms (such as landing) meant! I don't know if he saw something on the computer, or maybe they were trick questions. I updated my mailing address two days ago but I think the decision will be sent to my European address. Oh well, I don't mind, I just want to see it! :D

Scottishmaple: thank you so much for being so nice! I really really hope you get good news soon!! :)

Hey guys, I have a question. How does LVO ask for further information? Through email or snail mail?

They use both. It will depend whether you have provided them with an email address or not.
