Woop woop! Decision made on stage 2, 22 April! Decision being sent in the post! Can't wait to get it. Please can someone update the spreadsheet?

Wow, Another person! London has been busy.

Congratulations and spreadsheet has turned a bright shade of RED!

Congrats on the recent DMs everyone!

So I just transferred money to the UK and decided to use CurrencyFair. Got to say I am impressed. Excellent customer service - they processed my documents super fast to set-up an account and responded to emails promptly. I 'tested' them by offering the same amount of money to the currency exchange company I normally use and the deal I got on CurrencyFair beat them by almost £200 (this was on a $15k CAD exchange)!

Their model is very simple, all they do is provide a marketplace for exchange and then take a 0.15% cut of the transaction. The 0.15% is already factored into the prices they offer you. It is safe because before you can exchange money you first have to deposit it on to your CF account - so both parties in an exchange already have the money on there. You basically swap currencies and withdraw. Easy. Top marks all round!

At last, I have some news.

My new UK passport has arrived! Nice and shiny, and it even has a note of my previous passport number and the fact that I lost it on there! So I can get my medical done at last, and end this nightmare. Once the medical is examined, they'll be ready to issue the COPR for me (as they've already pretty much said that I've been accepted pending a good medical.)

Great news! hopefully everything gets wrapped up quickly and you see that long awaited DM! :)

Have been away from the forum for awhile now but many congrats to those who recieved decision made and in process...At long last after over a year of initially applying, many ups and downs, a few missing documents including fingerprints...woke up this morning to a decision made!!! it has been an emotional roller coaster ride, but i encourage everyone who is feeling doubtful that it will eventually happen:) thanks to everyone on the forum especially Sweden for all your help and advice, without you guys, we wouldnt have survived all the hurdles. Good luck to everyone and all your future endevours...now time to start stalking the postman and race down to the border

Congratulations!! This is great news. It really like a rollercoaster ride! :P

One year to the day Decision Made!! I didnt think that "in process" would ever change! Thanks to everyone on here for their advice and useful information, this forum was extremely helpful. If I can ask one more question, what are folks whose mailing address is in Canada seeing for a delivery time from Decision made to the arrival of the COPR? We are actually in England now so if it made it to our address before our return date I could have a family member courier it over here and we could all land as one big resident family on return! Unless it comes as registered mail requiring a signature?... any info appreciated (again)

Thanks!

I'm not sure if anyone here can help me as I know the process is different for exempt applicants.

Does CIC ever do decision made before PPR for non-visa exempt applicants?

Our ECAS was updated today straight to Decision Made. My husband was never asked for his passport or requested for an interview. No home address appears on ECAS either.

I'm terrified that it's a refusal.

Hi, i have no idea..

hope it would be a new system and they will send PPR soon.

They probably made the decision to approve for PR.

I am waiting long after my interview no news yet.

Hope for the best.

Regards

Well, today I did my medical at long last.

A pretty horrid experience (I HATE doctors), but hopefully I'm nearly in the clear and I can start working soon! Looking forward to being a real resident now! Light at the end of this very long tunnel.

Hehe.

I didn't find the medical too bad. Mind you, I didn't know how thorough they were going to be, so the whole time I was sat in the waiting area I was worried I was going to get a finger up my ass! :P Fortunately that wasn't the case though!

I got my driver's licence today, so things are slowly coming together. I hate waiting for all these cards to come through though. I hate having these temporary paper versions of things, I like having the cards sitting in my wallet. It pleases me to see them all lined up and organised. I'm weird lol.
