So my COPR arrived in Toronto a couple of days ago and I landed at the Niagara crossing yesterday. I drove over the border and it was as simple as everyone else has indicated. In fact it was a bit of an anti-climax for me...the drive to Niagara took longer than the landing process.

In total my simple one person, married, application took just under 7 months.

The information shared on the forum by like minded individuals has been a godsend. I think we all know how easier the experience has been by sharing our highs and lows. For that I thank you.

Mark.

Agreed!

Leslieville is a nice neighbourhood. It's got a perfect of balance of plenty to do (nice bars and restaurants), with a nice quiet vibe too, and you're near the 501 Streetcar. Perfect.

Leslieville is a great neighbourhood. I'm in the Distillery which is growing fast! Glad to be adding another Gb'er to our downtown core :-)

Yeh I haven't had anything official yet. Today is day no 314 since I applied. Sigh. I am really hoping that the email I got was correct and that I'll have my COPR by the end of the week. But now both checking ECAS to still see 'In Progress' and opening my mail box to find nothing each day is becoming increasingly demoralising...

Given what happened to Dawlphin I thought I'd email London too to double check they had the right address (also a polite reminder to find out if they'd actually sent out my COPR).

9 days ago they said that the COPR had been issued and would be with me "within 2 weeks".

Their response today? "Yes the documents will be mailed to the below address when they have been issued."

Sigh. I don't know what to believe now. I guess I'll be lucky if I have my COPR by the end of the month, never mind the end of the week :(

Ah Ottawa. New Edinburgh was what it used to be called. I believe that's the neighbourhood of the Rideau Hall and Sussex Drive too. Everywhere you go in Canada, there's some legacy of the Scots.

I keep having this dream where CIC have sent me an e-mail requesting some information but it gets caught in my spam folder and I don't notice it and they end up rejecting me :s.
