thank you so much!! im far down but im gonna check in often to see when the red is approaching me hehe i initially thought 31 October was my date but when i realized its based on the date of sponsor approval i suddenly fell down on the list, oh well. >:(

also, it would be fun to know if there are other people immigrating to Quebec, Quebec city in particular ;D

Since my Ecas has now changed to decision made, what is the next step? Do I have to send my passport away? I am a British citizen, so I'm thinking no. Just want to get over there ASAP!

New step is stalking the mailman! :-) the COPR will arrive by post, and you don't need to send anything. if you live in the UK, it takes about 3 to 5 days to show up. If you are already in Canada, then a bit longer - 10 to 15 days would be an average (unless you live in a very very remote plate). It's a brown envelop, very long - and it says CIC on it, hard to miss!

Then - you land, (if you're in Canada, go to the US border with your passport + COPR), if you're in the UK - start packing bags, and booking flights! :-)

Congrats on crossing the finish line!

Hi, I just joined this forum today and I'm reading some posts and I agree with what some people have already said, it is so nice to see that there are other people out there going through the same waiting process as I am since non of my friends here in Canada nor back in Sweden can relate to what I'm going through right now. I think the worst part is the waiting and not being able to work, im here in Canada on a tourist VISA and my days are quite long since my partner is at work all day. I wanted to know if there are other people immigrating to Quebec and if the process is longer because of the state of Quebec having other rules for immigration? We have already gotten our "ok" from Quebec (the CSQ) but could this slow things down in London too...hope not! anyways just wanted to say Hi and hoping this forum can keep me company while waiting :)
. Hej,välkommen! Nice seeing other Sweedes here. I am immigrating to Quebec as well...I soo agree with u, my friends do not understand what we are going thruh..hoppas allt går snabbt för oss alla( hope it goes fast for all of us).

Hey there...I do not remember if I was added to the spreadsheet when I first joined..I do not seem to find myself..can someone add me? Thanks!

Ingen problem! :-) (scandinavians taking over the thread - ok we will stop! :-) ).
Let me know when your application was received in Mississauga, when you got sponsor approval, and if you have been requested info from London, in progress etc - as well as Married/CL ( anything that can fit into the spreadsheet).
thanks,
Sweden :-)

Hi All,

Quick one....

Just filling out the application form to extend my stay (IMM5708E).

Do we need to also include the •Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union [IMM 5409]???

Not sure if we have to declare that we are now officially 'Common-law' or not?
We have entered into the 'Commonlaw' stage as we have now lived together for a Year (since Sept) but have not sent in the application package for sponsorship/PR etc as yet.

Thanks in advance,
Lee.

Sweden, could you please update the spreadsheet to reflect sponsorship approved Feb 14th and also select none visa exempt in column F. I'm under the 2013 tab. Thanks!
