One week since Decision Made and no sign of the letter. I'm in Ireland. I'll do my best not to stalk the postman! very very difficult :)

I don't believe it!

Way back in 1996 I spent a year in Israel.

Just had an email asking me to provide evidence that I did not get a criminal record over there.

More delay, more worry.

I know this is kind of off topic, but should the medical exam be done during the application process or should it be done beforehand? Im guessing it will cause delays in the process if done during the application. Also, being a UK citizen, is it okay to do the medical in Canada if I am there? I will be posting an outland application to London.
it's part of your application, so do it BEFORE you send the application. Leave it to the last minute, as they are only valid a year, so you want to have them as close to the sending date as possible. It doesn't matter where you do it as long as the Panel Physician is from CIC list on their website.
the physician will give you a paper to include in your application to show that you have done the medicals, no need to wait for the results etc.
Good luck,
Sweden

You can do the medical exam during the application process, but I believe there's the risk that they'll send back your application when it's received if they don't have your medical. I'd personally recommend you do the medical before you send off your application.

You can have your medical done anywhere in the world, as long as it's done at one of the approved doctors. I did mine in Canada and I'm applying outland too. It's a lot cheaper in Canada than the UK so go for it!

Also, you said you'd be posting an outland application to London. I just want to make sure you know that you post your complete application (i.e. sponsor and applicant's forms) to Mississauga, and when sponsor approval is done, they forward it to the London office themselves.

Congrats! Well done. So it took a week and a half to be sent to Canada, that's good to know the timelines so far. Can't wait!
