Well I checked this morning as I have done every day for the last month and to my utter amazement we have 'Decision Made'!

It says the following:

We received XXXXXXX's application for permanent residence on May 23, 2012.

We started processing XXXXXXX's application on November 12, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on XXXXXXX's application. The office will contact XXXXXXX concerning this decision.

Can't actually believe it, we were starting to lose faith in the whole system. Just hoping this means the COPR is in the post.

Hopefully a few more people will get news this week too, it's definitely worth the wait!

Hi everyone,

Just after a bit of info please :)

My wife and I got married after she received her COPR. She sent her new passport off to the Canadian High Commission in London about a month ago. We were just wondering how long they might take to send her passport and new COPR to her. We have a fair amount of time as we're not going to land in Canada until mid February 2013, but we are keen to get her passport back soon so we can book our flights.

Has anyone on this thread been through the same experience?

Thats not so bad then, I was worried about if I was allowed to re-enter canada without my PR card, but it makes sense that being from visa exempt it will be okay.

I am not bringing much stuff, nothing will be being shipped and I will have two 23kilo suitcases just with clothes in them really in January. So I won't need to declare anything at the border if I land at the Falls?

You will have all of your immigration papers stamped etc which act as your 'PR Card' until it arrives :) I think you're supposed to keep it stapled in your passport til you get your card. At least thats what happened with me :)

A little update from myself (Sponsor) and my husband (Applicant):

Nov. 7: My husband received an email request for an additional document (IMM5406-- not sure how we missed that one!) He mailed it Nov 8 and it was delivered Nov 9.
Nov. 15: eCAS finally changed! It now says "In Process" and states that they started processing his application on Nov 12!

Not long now I hope! I head to the UK for Christmas on Dec 14. Would be nice to celebrate COPR while I'm there, then he moves to Canada in Feb 2013 (With or without PR-- we have a vacay to Banff booked to celebrate the end of long distance!)

A Decision Made and a COPR today, maybe London is waking up again!
Congrats to you both :)

What's happening with you Herjeet? Did you fly out to Canada today? Did you receive your COPR before you left? You must be getting on towards 150 days for 2nd stage.

At least London seems to be moving somewhat again, lets hope they hustle a bit more. 130 days for 2nd stage now, starting to get very frustrated and anxious!

Where about in Canada is 8 hours behind the UK? It says on the CIC website that it was updated on the 14th November...but I checked at 7.30 am this morning UK and it hadnt changed...

British Columbia is the province that is 8 hours behind U.K. Possibly the very most western points of Alberta also. :D
