hi ,anyone out there has hired the help of a sollicitor or done your spouse application on your own,any suggestion as I am up to sponsor my husband outland via london office,He is british and ive pr in canada.
thanks guys

Hey,

If your case is relatively straight forward, you can apply yourself without having anybody represent you. Most people do not use a solicitor as it does not benefit your case unless your case is complex. Best thing to do is prepare your application as strong as possible and have your medical and police checks very close to when you send your application out as these are only valid for 1 year.

Good luck ;D

thank you .its quite stressing with all the document and all the immigration rules mean it you do an error in typing or something it might be rejected.

anyone can tell me if photos and post cards are returned via the london office
thanks

As far as I am aware they may/ may not send back additional evidence i.e letters, photos, telephone receipts, IM logs, cards, receipts and copies of birth certificates. I assume they probably wont so best to make and send copies of anything that is not required to be an original. They may suprise you and send everything back. With CIC prepare for the worst and anything they do send back is a bonus.

Good luck

Landed yesterday in Vancouver and took 5 mins, 1 question, 1 signature and I was collecting my luggage as a canadian resident!!

London seems to have made a good start on June, after a bit of a slow patch. Also, now that the holiday high season is coming to an end, things might speed up a bit more ;)

Well we have been approved for CoPR but the problem is bc my husband used tone a PR as a teenager the computer does not want to print him another CoPR at the moment. We have been waiting 2 weeks for the letter since decision was made on the computer. So frustrating. The office said they are trying to fix the problem but since it's a computer glitch it's easier said than done.

At least you know its all clear, and more importantly they know and are trying to fix the issue. Its just paperwork. ::) The big decision has already been made! ;)
