Thank you Pink Lady. I will get right on to it. I didn't realise the process was as quick as 4-5 months.

Thank you

Okay, it's been over 2 weeks since ecas change to 'decision made'.....and we still have not heard or received anything. I've sent a case specific enquiry and they haven't replied to that either. This is weird. Starting to worry!

Ha! COPR just arrived this morning! Worrying for nothing!

Was dated for the 3rd of April. Pinklady, another one for the spreadsheet!
Thanks all for your support, this forum's been a great place to share in the process. Good luck to all who are waiting still. I'll let you know how things g from here on. I'm leaving with our son at the end of this month and hubby will be joining us in June, so will let you all know how it goes with his landing.

Best wishes to all, and thanks pinklady for doing what you do!

My police certificate was dated 29 June 2011 and I sent it to Mississauga on 27 September 2011 (i.e. it arrived in Mississauga on 27 September) - I wasn't asked for another certificate. As far as I know, the certificate is valid for 1 year, as long as it is within the 3 months that it is received in Mississauga. Seemed to work that was for me anyway.

As long as it is less than 3 months old when Mississauga receive it there'll be no problem.

I second what pinklady just said. All the best

By the way, to introduce myself....I was sponsored from my Canadian common-law partner. I have been living in Toronto for over 2 years on a work permit. We sent our application to Mississauga on 27 September 2011, sponsorship approval on 5 December 2011, In Process 13 February 2012, Decision Made 19 March 2012, COPR in mail 26 March 2012, landed as a Permanent Resident on 1 April 2012 (no April fool there!). Now waiting for my PR card in the post.

My Decision Made was delayed because they requested my Right of Permanent Resident Fee to be paid again and Mississauga did not receive the receipt. I actually had another PR application filed at the London visa office - a Federal Skilled Worker application - which was sent in February 2010. I applied again via the Family Class route because the FSW application was taking so long and I my temporary work permit was due to expire in July 2012. Thank goodness I did! I tried to apply the RPRF that I paid for the FSW application to the Family Class application, but they did not accept this, so I had to pay it twice. I now have to apply in writing to have my FSW application withdrawn and my first RPRF payment refunded.

But who cares, because I am now PR! I already have OHIP and my new permanent SIN and a job, so I am in a very good situation. So I am happy to answer questions for anyone going through the process or for newly landed folk who need advice on jobs etc. I am a Chartered Accountant (from Scotland) and can also answer questions re the Ontario designation requirements for CAs from Scotland, England and Ireland. Happy to help anyone who might need it. :)

Added :)

And welcome Weegie! Do you mind if I add your application processing times to the spreadsheet?

Hi pinklady....you can add me to the spreadsheet too if you want my stats. I have admittedly been anonymously reading this thread throughout my application but I knew if I joined during the application it would become an obsession! :-[ Which is why I am only making myself known now! :D
