So I send my forms to Ontario then? And in the current residence section of the form I can put Canada?

Yes it is perfectly acceptable to be living in Canada whilst you undergo an Outland application. I'm doing just that now. Have been here as a visitor for 18 months, and I put my residential address as where I live here in Toronto. Send the application to Missisauga first - both the sponsor and the applicant parts, plus the medical receipt, the police certs etc - e.g. everything! Then once they have processed the first part, they send the file onto LOndon for the next bit.

Woo-hoo, yee-hah! I got an email from the ecas tracker to say my file had been updated. It says DECISION MADE! So I now no longer feel like I'm left out in the cold. Please update the spreadsheet Pinklady - oooh it feels good to finally say that!

We received VICTORFOXTROT'S application for permanent residence on August 30, 2011.
We started processing VICTORFOXTROT's application on January 17, 2012.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on VICTOR FOXTROT's application. The office will contact VICTORFOXTROT concerning this decision.

So now I guess I have to watch out for the post instead?

Wow, that is awesome, I knew it would be soon. Makes me feel that ours is coming up soon too...here's hoping anyway.

No I think there is some confusion here. The thing that is updated weekly is the bit on the CIC website where you can check what date they are working up to on applications for the sponsorship bit - that is definitely only updated weekly. But individual files, when it gets to the second stage are updated as and when there is a decision made. Plenty of others on this forum got updates to their Ecas late last week/early this, there is no pattern, so to me it tells me that officers update Ecas on an adhoc basis.

hi pinklady hope you can help me with this one.....
my question is when we Submitting our application we included our original birth citificates (mine and my sons), marriage cetificates, so is there anyway after we get our visa that i can get them back?

Hmmm not sure about this one. I think the best thing you can do is email them and ask if they can return the documents to you. Some people do have there docs returned, including pictures, some don't.
Sorry that's all I can offer. Does anyone else have any advice?

Hi all! My husband received a registered letter at his address in England today and we won't be able to have someone pick it up for him until the weekend (since he is currently visiting me in Canada!) and we're just dying to know what it says! I'm pretty sure it's a letter from cic because I checked ecas and it said decision made but he didn't receive an email. Does anyone have any guesses as to whether it's good news or bad news?? When I received sponsor approval, I only received an email and not a hard copy letter. We're sitting on pins and needles!!

If I am living in Canada with my husband on 'temp worker' status do I still have the option of applying outland? I'm confused because I thought I did, but the website is saying if I'm residing in Canada then it has to go to Vegreville. I thought Vegreville applications were all inland and Mississauga handled outland.

If you are living in Canada you have the option to apply outland (to Mississuaga then London) or inland (Vegreville). Outland is definately the faster option, but if an interview is required you will have to travel to London for it.
Many people apply outland while staying in Canada, myself included.

Hopefully we'll be soon - we've gone to In Process but nothing since that change! Gaaaa - so close and yet so far away. Better pack my patience for another week, ho hum.....
