OMG! Just checked ecas again to double check I was seeing things right. It's changed, on a Sunday night to decision made for my partner, who im sponsoring! Must be working weekends!

YAY!! Congrats, Rscmoore!

I just got the automated email from the e-CAS Tracker system - a decision has been made on our application too!!

"We received your application for permanent residence on September 2, 2011.

We started processing your application on January 13, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

Shocked that they're working weekends.. unless it takes a few days for the system to update?!

....is the decision ever 'no'? Am I okay to hand in my resignation at work?

woohoo congratulations to all the good news and updates on the last few pages! :D

WOOOOOOOHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

After all those good news I logged on to ecas, haven't for a couple of months!!, and it says Decision made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, is there a realistic risk it could be 'no' or should I just go ahead and throw a party tonight?!!!

*scared and happy at the same time*

Let me join in the celebrations with you too!!...I checked our application status yesterday and it said medical results recieved. This morning it says Decision Made and when I click on it to go into it further it reads...

We received XXXX's application for permanent residence on May 16, 2011.

We started processing XXXX's application on January 13, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on XXXX's application. The office will contact XXXX concerning this decision.

I'm so happy at this point I could cry! Finally, it's all nearly over!! Please tell me I can start to celebrate, it is going to be good news they give my partner, isn't it?? ;o)

@ 123me

Yes. On the first page it says in process. On the second, the date they received it, when they started processing it and about the medicals. Before that there was nothing!

So on the first page for us it says decision made for me and application recived for my husband. On the second page it says that I was sent a letter, which is true, I am approved, and for my husband it says medicals received. Are they processing his yet? I am thinking not.

Hooray for the London VO! It's alive! IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIIIIVE! Franken-VO has risen!

I hope everyone gets exactly the good news they were hoping for, and soon!

Hi all!

Im also asking the same thing pretty much as Louise86 - except also, (and I may be being very slow here) but what is the difference between COP and PPR (could be COPR....trying to remember off top of my head) Im getting confused.....

and also, it seems no one seems to know what the procedure is now for getting PPR - am I right? Some people are now not having to send off their passports and some are?

We are going to be booking our flights back to Canada end of April pretty soon and dont really want to have to send off the passport too soon before that (if we get approved!)...if we arrive in Canada before I get PPR, would I have to go on a visitors visa?

Thanks!

Anna :P

I got an email on January 9, asking to send my passport to London :) :)

I´m really happy with this, except I was kinda hoping not to have to send the passport to London, but get that piece of paper (don´t remember what it´s called) instead. I´m in Canada now on a visitors visa and we are going to the US for a short trip in the end of January. I´ll was hoping to land on the way back :( But now I do need my passport to go to the US and then I´ll have to send the passport to London and hope it get´s there within the 45 days!!

Any recommendations on who to send the passport with to London from Canada? I guess not Canada Post if I want to be able to track it all the way.

Certain Countries are exempt from sending in their actual passports. I received an email just like you to send in out the actual passport. My wife emailed them back asking a medical question and they replied and gave her steps how to send it in her passport. In the email, it said certain places are exempt from sending in their actual passports. She just had to photocopy the biographical page and that was it.

I don't know where you are located but if your area is exempt then you can photocopy it and uses your passport to travel. My wife is from Sweden. You can email them and ask. This new method started dec 1, 2011.

Congrats Rcsmoore, Schintz, Bealily and anyone else i have forgotten who is in the same part of the spreadsheet as me. I signed up to the ecas tracker too but haven't had anything, so i thought I would check the actual cic website just in case, but no, nothing, tis still the same. Boo. I really hope this is my week too! Fingers crossed extra tightly!

<Slams door shut, goes out for the morning, hoping for better news upon my return!>

Congratulations, im soooo happy for all you guys

W00!! That's excellent! Did they ask for your actual passport or just copies of pages? Are they still requesting photos as well?
