Hi there,
Just looking for some advice, I am being sponsored in the family class by my partner, on ECAS I received "decision made" at the end of February, I waited 2 weeks and received nothing through the post so emailed them and asked what was happening with my file as online it says decision made. I received a response 4 days later saying that they were actually "finalising my file" and that the office would be in contact with me soon. Two more weeks passed and still no email no post, so I emailed them again and asked if they would please clarify what "finalising my file" means and when I could hope to hear anything..........................................now here we are another two weeks later and NOTHING!
I have checked my online status again and again and it still states "decision made".............but no one is telling me what that decision is! I am in Canada with my partner and my address has been changed to the canadian address, so I really do not know what is happening. Has anyone got any advice for me please :'(
Hey,
What is your timeline? when did you apply?
When you say that you have the "Canadian address", does it appear in the "mailing address" or in the "home address" ?
If it appears in the "mailing address", it might be that your file is not finalised yet. If there is a new window called "home address" and the address looks like "City, Province, Canada" - then it's good news, it means that the PR has been issued and sent to you, most likely.
Just to be on the safe side : you see "decision made" under "application for PR", not under "Sponsorship", right? if it's under "sponsorship" it only corresponds to the sponsor approval.
If you have decision made under "application for PR" + home address, then you are "good to go" - and sending another mail to London saying that you haven't received anything and you're afraid that the COPR got lost would be the way to go.
If you're in Canada, it takes somewhere between 1 to 2 weeks to arrive, so more than that you can contact London about it.
Good luck,
Sweden
