Hey aperture, I got my passport sent back to me in Canada super quick, 3 weeks and a day from arrival in London, I'm not sure if it was so quick because my medical expires beginning of January or if they were just moving fast the but it may help if you include a letter with your passport explaining your travel plans? You have to factor in the Xmas backlog now too though!

That's super quick! (Hint to others: I'd be more encouraged to see turn-around times like that from even more people, if they are so inclined to post.)

I'm am indeed a bit worried about a Christmas backlog. We're now at the weekend again with no passport request, so it'll be at least a few more days to go!

Was not a happy lady today.
Been at home all week and the one day i go out for 2hrs i have a note when i get bk saying that something that needs a signature needed to be delieverd :'(
Its now the weekend and i'm out Monday so i've had to have it redelivered Tuesday.
Stupid, stupid, stupid mail lol.
My passport got to vo on the 22nd November so if it is my passport its took 2 weeks 3 days
I'll let you all know Tuesday.

hi pinklady and all dear frnd i am new member on this site i am on student visa in uk i am from pakistan i will ask some question about my case i married my cousin she is canadian national we both married in pakistan when she back to canada she sponsored me from canada these are my details sent to mississauga on 3aug 2011 they recevied on 10aug 2011 .we received your application to sponsorxxxx on aug 10 2011 we started processing your application on oct 19 2011 we sent u a letter on oct 20 about the decision pls conider delays in mail delivery before contacting us
then decision made on sponsorship application status on dec 2 then we started processing xxxxxxxxxxx application for permanent residence on december 2 2011 medical results have been received my question when they will make decision on my permanent residence application when i will get ppr because my visa is expire in may 2011 so pls help me all member my case in london office and im in london aswell

I received an email on Dec. 9 that my application was received in Mississauga on Nov. 2, 2011, even though I mailed it Oct. 18. I'm happy to know that someone is in contact with my file, but I was hoping I'd already be hearing that I was approved as a sponsor and that the application was being sent to the London VO already. I've got a UCI number now, though I can't seem to login with it yet. It says

"We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:

Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not yet begun processing it. The following link may help you determine if your application is being processed:
Application Processing Times"

So I guess my application has been received but is still waiting to be processed.

4 months just to get sponsorship approval? What happened to the good old days when it took only 37 days for sponsorship approval (see Pink Lady's spreadsheet). I hope that you will get PPR soon

I have a question, the VO send me an Appendix A that states " to complete information for YOU AND ALL YOUR DEPENDANTS, whether accompanying or not". My question is, do you include your sponsor spouse on this form??.. i had send mine already but leave the spouse column as blank since in my thinking my husband is not my dependent...hope somebody can enlighten me?

if ever, i should have include my sponsor spouse in the form, can i send another appendix A to the VO and attached a letter of explaination? will it not create a problem for me f I do so??..i really need advise right now, don't want to be the cause of delay for my application since our wedding anniversary is fast approaching...thank you for your advises! it be of great help..

Have you tried logging in with your sponsor's information? (Use the same UCI number.) Our application is only accessible via the sponsor's details (me!).
