Thank you, some progress. Spreadsheet updated. Please let us know when you get PPR - hopefully not too long now!

Hi everyone! First time posting on this thread but been following for a few months now :) Thought I'd give an update with dates from our experience. I'm Canadian living in London, UK and sponsoring my British common-law partner. Looking to move back to Canada together end of 2019. Here are our timelines so far (we're doing this ourselves, no immigration lawyers involved):

21 May 2018 - Application mailed from London, UK to Mississauga
4 June 2018 - Application delivered/signed for
27 July 2018 - Application started
28 July 2018 - Confirmation of application received
17 August 2018 - Request for medical
29 August 2018 - Medical done
21 August 2018 - Approval for Sponsorship
7 December 2018 - Visa Office CPC Mississauga
14 December 2018 - Visa Office London

Looks like it can be several more months from here before we get CoPR, but hopefully we get it before summer! Will keep you posted.

Hi all - we've got a great update! We received our COPR for the PA yesterday! On 21 June we received a request to provide more information (an updated police certificate, and a 10 year travel history). We sent that to the LVO on 9 July and yesterday on 12 July we received the COPR through the post. We have until July 2020 for landing/arrival in Canada until the COPR/visa expires, so thankfully they don't strictly stick to the 1 year since the medical deadline - that would have been really tight!

From our experience it really looks like the LVO only start looking at files in the 11th month and from there the process is very fast. We literally hadn't heard a word for over 6 months until the 11th month, but it's all done and dusted, just need to plan the landing now! Thanks so much to everyone who posts on this thread, it's been an invaluable resource!

Congratulations! Would you share your timeline please?
They already have. It is on the spreadsheet. Seen the 2018 tab for June in the link in my signature line.

Just a quick question, I am the principal applicant, my husband (the sponsor) received an email for file transfer to London visa office on 2nd July. I have personally not received any correspondence from the visa office since. However, on ECAS, it says that the application started processing on 05 July. Should I be expecting any correspondence in regards to the file transfer or not?

December 2018 here, we just got notice that our application has been transferred to London. Now the long wait :(

Does anyone ever get processed around the 9-10 month mark in London? I’m thinking that’s a big absolutely not.

Time to be patient. ✌

Hello everyone! I am November 7 applicant, my file was received by London vo on July 4. And on August 13 I received finger prints request and pre arrival. What should I expect next? I interview or pfl or maybe ppr?
Thank you for your answers!

Nothing will happen until you send in your biometrics. Then it will likely take a few weeks for them to check these. Good sign that you have received pre-arrival services, if this is correct (they sometimes generate this in error), then once they have cleared your biometrics they should proceed to 'background checks', which can take days, weeks or months - simply no way to know.

You are an OUTLAND applicant I take it? It is rare for outland applicants to have any interview, unless your particular application presents 'red flags' - I don't know your particular circumstances of course.

Yes, Outland, London visa office. Well, yes we have a few fat red flags on our application.
I think we cowered them well with the case we prepared since our relation is genuine and normal, but still I don’t believe they will let us just like that...
by the way, I see so so many Pakistani applicants getting interview and pfl from London... that is why I think we may get one too even after pre-arrival.

Have any UK applicants received PPR recently?

Thanks
