This is wonderful, thank you very much for this!

Just wondering also, do you happen to know the hours for the Service Canada in Toronto Pearson Airport Terminal 3? I can't ever seem to find an answer but we're landing on June 21/2019 at 3PM. I know sometimes they close at 4PM and we could wait to get the SIN but I'd rather just do it while we're there if we can!
I don't know for sure, but they are civil servants, so expect it to be 'office hours' at best I suggest. If you are landing at 15:00 then probably best to forget it. Depending on how many in the line for secondary handling (i.e. landing for PR etc.), you may well take 2 / 3 hours to process through to getting land side. Depending where you are staying / living, there will be one within 20km anyway.

Wow ! So u pass the one year limit !! Is it inland or Outland ?! If I was in ur shoes I would consider contacting MP !
Please note that 1 year is NOT a 'limit'. The standard turnaround time quoted by IRCC is '80% within 12 months'. So of course that will mean that 20% will take longer than 12 months. The '12 months' should only be considered a 'guideline' and it is far from a 'guarantee'.

Ya I kinda know that but I was not expecting this delay cause we have a very simple/ straightforward application. But I mean if there is a problem they would have told us by now right? They did not ask for any additional info ! just complete silence

If there was something else they needed from you or clarification then yes, they would have asked. LVO is like this I'm afraid. Complete silence and no changes to MyCIC for months, then it all kicks into action and a lot happens in a few weeks - it all comes in a rush at the end. By all means apply for your case notes, that will neither speed things nor slow things down.

NORMALLY (but not always), the expiry date on the CoPR (i.e. the date by which you MUST land and declare PR) is one year from the date of the medical examination.

Note that you can 'land to declare PR' then go back to your original country, then return later to 'land as settler' (i.e. declare your goods accompanying / goods to follow).

Hey guys,
We got a letter after our pre arrivals for new photos. Here is what it says:

“This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. You have submitted photographs which do not meet our requirements. Please provide two (2) new photographs which meet the specifications. We require these photos for you and each of your dependents on the application.
Please print the photo specifications and bring the specifications and this letter to the photographer. You will find the specifications on the following page as well as at this website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3998E_tempA.pdf
Please send these photographs to the address provided below. These photos must be received by our office within 10 days from the date of this letter.”

We’ve got my husband’s done, but it mentions ‘any dependents on your application.’ Well my husband has a non-accompanying child on the application who will not be coming with him as he lives in another country. Do you think they require non-accompanying dependents? Or just ones that are coming too? I’m so confused! Thanks for any help if possible!

COPR received! June 2018 applicant from Finland.

Process went smoothly, no requests for additional information or forms, just updates at each stage (AOR1, SA, AOR2, DM, COPR).

Congratulations! That's fabulous. So no PPR? They just sent the COPR? Excellent!

Correct, no PPR. Finland is a visa exempt country so they sent the COPR directly after decision was made.
Excellent! I've heard of a few people from visa-exempt countries still needing to send in a version of that (extra photos and a photocopy) but not everyone. My husband is from the UK so hoping he will just get a COPR as well now that our decision has been made.
