According to Royal Mail my spousal application was received in Mississauga on the 10th Feb.
Took a whole 9 days to get there via 5 day international track and trace :(

Eagerly awaiting AOR1!

Yeah, I learned the hard way not to send it by Royal Mail track and trace. The Royal Mail part is fine, but it disappears once it gets to Canada (gets stuck in customs) with no word until it is EVENTUALLY signed for a couple of weeks later. Mine took 3 weeks!

PS - do you want to take part in the spreadsheet tracking? If so, then please supply the information you can see in the spreadsheet link in my signature line and keep us informed by posting updates on this thread :-)

So would I be right to assume the principal applicant is Swiss?

No British, living in Switzerland

Awesome, added! Thank you! :)

Great thanks - I'm pretty annoyed that my application got treated by the London office and not the Paris office, which is the normal one for Swiss applicants and waiting time is only 9 months compared to 14 months in London.

CIC can choose office based on residence or citizenship, so since you're a Brit London was always going to be a possibility.

The advertised time for London may be 14 months, but the actual time on average (looking at the spreadsheet) is more like 8-9. I don't know how that compares to Paris, but I'd say you can probably count on being in the 9ish average, assuming there's nothing complicated or funky in your application. :)

Lets hope so, fingers corssed. I had to apply for criminal rehab as well, which was approved early February. So just the waiting game now!

Anywhere from 2 to 8. You can send a chaser email at about 6 weeks, but CIC doesn't consider it lost until 8-10.

In addition, look at the spreadsheet. There's a column for "date COPR received in post", yo ucan see that some get it quickly and others take longer.

Added to spreadsheet, thanks. Can you please let us know roughly where in the UK you are (i.e. nearest big town / city?). Please keep us updated via this thread.

It is usually 2 or 3 weeks before Mississauga acknowledge your application, if they do at all (not everyone seems to get a receipt - no one knows why!). Some people hear Sponsor Approved first these days!

Well three weeks on and no email or AOR received. Give it another week. Wondering if I'll just get the Sponsor Approval first then. Who knows!

I see you are beginning to understand the hit and miss nature of CIC comms!!! :'(

Hey just thought I'd add my info here in case anyone wants to add it to the BE spreadsheet.
I'm a UK applicant making an outland spousal visa application.

Married
Application received in Mississauga: 6 Mar 2017.

Thanks. Added you to the spreadsheet. Could you please also tell us roughly where you currently live (as vague as London, UK is fine).
