So.. Got DM on Oct 30th and still waiting for my COPR to arrive. Need your advise guys - is this normal?? Going crazy over here and worry that it's gone missing or has been sent to our old address... I've emailed London but as you all know they take up to 28 days to reply so don't know what else I can do. Any suggestions welcome.

I got my DM on the 26th NOV and my COPR yesterday and some people wait longer so don't worry it is normal :)

So have they asked you to complete a new medical?

It was an automated message with an attachment and yes to my surprise it does ask for a new medical.

Dave can you let us know how the landing goes, as this is where my husband will flag pole from too .. Congratulations and good luck ..

Gaaaah!! After 17 long month of waiting my COPR finally arrived!! I am so excited and relieved! Thanks to everyone here for keeping me sane for the last 2 years. This forum really is amazing!

We are planning to land this weekend so will let you know how it all goes. Best of luck to everyone who is still waiting - it is a horrible process but it does all work out in the end, just try to remember that.

Hi there.
I'm new to this forum so not sure if I'm doing things correctly here.

I'm a Canadian citizen by birth who married a british girl last summer.
I've been looking at this forum for months as a part of my research into applying for PR for her.
We submitted a full application package that was received (signed for) by CIC in Mississauga on October 15, 2015.
It included copious amounts of personal information about the development of our relationship, family pictures, etc.
We also submitted the UK medical & police report, as well as paying all fees up front including RPRF.

While I think I understand the nuances of this application process reasonably well, of course I'm anxious to receive AOR, etc.
I realize it may never come but...
I'm curious to know when I would receive some info that would allow me access to ECAS?

Please let me know what other info & bench marks you may require to add me to the spreadsheet.

Hello PeterJ251, I just need the principal applicant's location. Closest city is fine if you do not want to be too specific.

Based on your post I presume that you have not received sponsor approval yet. CIC are currently processing applications received on Sep 21st, and the posted time for SA (sponsor approval) is 64 days, so expect SA in time for Christmas, although maybe it will be into January when you receive it because of holidays.

You may not get an AOR, but if you do it will tell you your file number (F000123456 format) and a UCI (unique client ID). The client ID would be yours, the sponsor. If CIC ever request something from your wife then she will receive her own UCI.

Hi Andrew.

She is from London but is living (visiting ;->) with me in Toronto.
I suspect that I'm probably older than the average applicant here. I'm 60 & my wife is 47... Not that it should make any difference.

We are very aware of the 6 month rule on visiting & generally go back to visit her parents every few months.
We are applying outland.
I have not received SA yet so thanks for the update on processing times for this.

Does this mean that if I don't get an official AOR then I won't get a UCI or file number?
