Hi

Just to say I left UK on 7th July to wait it out here. Couldn't bear to be apart any longer. The wait continues.

I still think you guys are so lucky that you are from visa exempt countries, and that your partner/spouse can pack and visit you.

I have made 3 trips in the last year or so. And I am now 4 months pregnant. I am not sure if he will be here in time for the delivery. But yeah, he can't just pack up and visit me because he requires a visa. On other hand, I am so sick and I don't think I will be able to take any trips in the near future. It has been 4 months since we last met up in Greece :(. I wasn't going to get anxious but not sure if it has anything to do with my current condition, but I am getting more anxious now.

Could your partner not come and stay with you in your country of residency while the visa is being processed?

Its been 7 months from my last visit to the U.K. and it was for my mothers funeral . We have been flying back and fourth for 4 years. Never though my application would have been this long. We applied last April 2014. Its a huge risk to just pack up and come. My husband has to give up our house, his job and wait it out here with no work or income. It was not a light heart decisions and if his application is denied we have to pack up go back to the U.K without any jobs or home.

However i do feel your pain being pregnant and your husband from a non visa exempt country.

I understand. My husband and i are not spring chickens and to be newly weds we just want to be together . We have held off for as long as possible for the risk of being denied . Just feel that we need to be together . Hope your enjoying Canada .

I am sponsoring my husband who is pakistani national and currently lives in Denmark on work permit. Living in Denmark is financially feasible for both of us, and moving back to Pakistan means is also not possible. In both situations, I will have to quit my job and I am not honestly not prepared to do that. I have worked really hard for it. We meet up every 3-4 months somewhere in Europe :).

Taffy, everytime you post, I click on the thread right away hoping that you have a good news to share. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. You are right. It's never easy to just quit, and leave everything behind and take the risk. I also can't just quit my job, and leave everything behind just to live with him until the process is successfully completed.

I hope you guys hear a good news soon :). Sending you positive vibes.

Warzo, I can only imagine what you are going through. Wishing you all the best too and hope that this will all be finished soon enough so that you will be together before baby comes. It hasn't been an easy decision as I was working full time and getting a good decent income. But now I can't work or get any income. We just celebrated our 1st anniversary and couldn't bear being apart any longer.

Come on LVO, let's have some approvals coming through.

If you leave then you have to rebuild a life back here after all we are all planning on living here. I can't imagine being pregnant and not having my husband here . For us our worry is that one of us might pop it before we even get a chance to start a new life together .

I don't even bother looking at ecas any more,i'm waiting for Scotmoose to get his then i will look.
