They want the correct photographs for applicants applying for permanent residency. Your child is a Canadian citizen so you do not need to provide photos your child.

I think any communication with LVO is a good thing! You have a while to go yet though based on the average processing time.

Thanks for that Andrew, they should get the correct pictures by tomorrow!!!

Hi All,

another question the LVO send me 2 links for the photograph specifications,

Please print the photo specifications and bring the specifications and this letter to the photographer. You will find the specifications at this website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3998E_tempA.pdf

More information on the photo specifications may be found here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

the first link states : note make sure you provide 2 photographs.
One photo must bear the name and complete address of the photo studio and the date the photo was taken must be included on the back of one photo. The photographer may use a stamp or handwrite this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable.

the second link states: The name and complete address of the photo studio as well as the date the photo was taken must be included on the back of one photo. The photographer may use a stamp or handwrite this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable. The photo with the photographer's information must include
your name and date of birth. One photo should be left blank.

Since I need to send 4 photographs do I need to have 2 stamped including my name, date of birth and 2 blank photographs?

Just received my SA through. My file has been retained in Mississauga, so if the spreadsheet could be updated please :). I presume its being held there because of the London overflow situation at the moment? Would i be correct in thinking that?

Spreadsheet updated. Mississauga, you lucky devil! Yes it seems some applications stay in Mississauga, or Ottawa instead of going across the pond to London.

I just had my medical done yesterday. This whole thing feels so much more real now :)

So a few weeks ago, I decided I was bored of answering the same questions a zillion times, so I've written up a FAQ page to answer most of the common questions.

http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Spousal_Sponsorship-Canada/FAQ

Worth bookmarking, particularly those of you who tend to answer questions very often.

It's mostly geared to British applicants, but should be mostly applicable to all applications.

Hope it helps!

Waiting patiently is not always easy but we have to do it regardless :(

Now I don't know if we should consider this bad news or extremely bad news because that was depressing when I saw it.

London Visa Office times for family sponsorship have been changed to 29 months from 11 months. WOW WOW.

They updated the processing times for visa offices on January 29, 2015. I am actually depressed now.

How can it nearly triple? This is shocking. I may as well withdraw and submit an inland application. The only downside to that is not leaving Canada, my sister is getting married in August this year, and there was me thinking applying in September 2014 was enough time.

I received email with pdf attached letter from LVO that my photos doesn't match the specifications, therefore, I should submit 4 photos in 45 days. and there are 2 links for photo specification.

I reviewed my record of submitted photos which are according to Appendix B: photo specs in form 3907e. However, provided links in email contain additional requirement of studio name, address and date + applicant name & dob.

Positive points are, they created UCI for me, which is mentioned on letter and it's kinda AOR2 for me that they have received my application.

Questions:

1st: they didn't mention the address in letter to send photos. should I send to address which is on signature of email?

Trafalgar Square
London | Londres
SW1Y 5BJ

2nd: will this delay the process of my application?

I received same email today and it stated: please send your photographs to the address below

Which is:
Immigration and Medical Services Division
High Commission of Canada
Canada House
Trafalgar Square
London. UK SW1Y 5BJ

thanks
in my letter, there is nothing underneath: Immigration and Medical Services Division
I believe, it's a glitch

well you guys at least got some sort of communication... I have heard nothing lol. Perhaps my husband's pictures met the specifications ;).
