I am wondering when will be Option-C printout be ready for the year 2014, assuming I file my tax by end of Feb?

for early 2014 applicant, when was Option-C printout of 2013 available in 2014?

I am thinking to send them the one of 2013 and update with 2014 once it is available ..
If it's not available then there's not much you can do. If it were me, I'd provide the 2013 one, and then a year's worth of pay slips for 2014. Include a note that says that when you applied the 2014 ones weren't available yet, so you've provided 2013+pay slips, and if they want the 2014 then you can order it when it's available and send it in.

Hi all

Am livid with Cic, finally heard from today and only to be told that our application is incomplete due to a missing IMM 5406 form which I KNOW I completed and signed and dated. I triple checked the application before sending off but hey.... So now have to resend form which will further delay our application by another God knows how long.

Just to double check again with knowledgable members, the IMM5406 form is only to be completed by the principal applicant right? Or did I get that wrong. Another thing is i also attached a separate piece of paper with additional information for my siblings.... Big family comprising of half siblings from both parents. This was also signed and dated. Any ideas of this.

So will be sending off form tomorrow which will hopefully get to Canada next week. Fingers crossed. Sorry for the vent... Just got really upset knowing that I had sent all the forms as required.

IMM5406 is in the applicant's section, so it needs to be filled in by the applicant, and signed, and dated.

CIC does occasionally misplace forms - it happens, though not often. IT is a human operation, and they are dealing with stacks upon stacks of loose papers. It's frustrating, for sure, but at least you know processing has started, so take some solace in that!

Good luck!

I did go through the process myself, so I can relate to the stress and frustration that you're going through. :) My process took 8 months to complete, and we had an extra passport request as well which no one at the time had... It's important to remember that stressing about it on your end isn't going to make it go any faster, it's just going to wind you up more and more. It's also important to remember that CIC's not out to try to make people's lives miserable, or to make them wait longer than required, or to keep them apart from their families. Canada has one of the best and actually most straight-forward immigration programs for family members, and they are one of the only countries that recognizes common-law partners - almost no other country has that classification. Then, as I said, it is humans on the other end. They do their best, but humans make mistakes. And like almost any other job, there is way too much work and way too few people. They are people who are trying to work through a giant stack of paperwork, except they can't half-ass it at all, they have to ensure that all their checks are completely up to snuff because they aren't just sending out some document, they are kicking off a process that potentially makes new citizens of a country. :)

So just keep all of that in mind, and it should help you stay calm while you are going through the process.

Good luck, and chin up. :)

Thank you both .. I have prepared exactly the same things that you have discussed. Since, I am a grad student, I am attaching a letter from the university mentioning salary and scholarship that I received in the past one year.

Hi, I'm much calmer now :) but would appreciate some clarity or direction with regards to my IMM 5406 form. The form only has 4 lines for siblings but I have nine in total from both parents. So am wondering if I can put four on the form and a Word document with details of the remaining five. Or do I complete another (second) IMM 5406 form and add the remaining five siblings. Not sure what to do. And if so do I need to complete section A again for the second IMM 5406 form. Previously I had attached a word document with details of remaining siblings. Does anyone have any idea on this. Thanks.

Have you checked in the Guide to see if they offer any suggestions on what to do if you have more than 4 siblings? Surely you aren't the first one with this question.

Hi

I also have more than four siblings, and although I haven't had anything back yet saying it is ok, I did exactly as you have described.

I put as many siblings on the form as it allowed, and then put the extra ones on a word doc with the form number and my name at the top. There is another form that describes if you have to add an additional page, so I just followed that

Hi I had checked and it just says to use additional separate sheet... So question was extra blank sheet or another copy of the IMM5406 form. In the end used what I used last time, separate word document with all details plus my details and application file number. Sent it by Globalexpress (Royal Mail) today with a guaranteed next day delivery. So you bet I'm tracking it. As for now, I am going to keep breathing :) and try and get on with life. Besides what else is there to do.

Good to know someone else did the same. Wish you all the best.

If you want to be added to the spreadsheet in my signature, which has way more data on it, then I need:
-Date application received in Mississauga
-Whether you applied as Married or Common-Law
-Date of sponsor approval
-Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email)
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt
-Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific!
