Cant believe sponsor approval is now 61 days... geesh it was 40 something days a few months ago. Guess its gonna be a long wait even for stage 1!! :(

Hi Sibby
Dont loose heart, it will come. If you look at mine it took more than 200 days for my sponsor approval but it doesn't mean that yours will take this long. I think my case is slightly more complicated but you will get there - we did it and its done.
Keep positive - :) :) :)

Sibby, remember as well that things slow down massively over the holidays and in January - in January, a load of the streams re-open (grandparents, FSW, the new Express Entry program, IEC, and others), so there's generally an influx of work in January, and the agents who normally focus on family class are helping with those applications as well... it's a pretty standard pattern. 60 days is still pretty quick - when I applied in January 2012, it was at about 120!! It took us 4 months to get sponsor approval. So 2 months is still pretty swift! Chin up!

Our status has just changed on ecas to "In Process" - if you could please update the spreadsheet! :)
Thank you!

Hi,
In case you would like to update the spreadsheet.
I received an email from London Immigration on the 18-12-2014 asking me to send them copy of the CSQ (Quebec certificate) and resubmit IMM5540. I thought the CSQ was sent automatically to them?well at least that is what the Quebec letter said. I will have to wait.....

Hi ESM,

Yes, in theory, the CSQ is automatically sent to the federal authorities. However, it happens (and it seems to be more often than it was) that they ask for a copy from us.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, did they ask you to send the form to your Immigration officer's "personalized" email address or to the generic London email/postal address?

same is the case here

They requested a passport scan back on October 28th with some other extra information, and we had 60 days to get it in. Which would have been the 29th of December, and that is when they stated that they started processing the application. But am super excited to have DM. It pretty much was 6 months almost to the day.

hi congratlution for decision made! may i ask you when Ecas status changed?

We logged into ecas today and our status has changed from In Process (Dec 23) to Decision Made! No e-mail has come through yet though. How long after does that usually take to come? We didn't get a request for passport or anything earlier, should we be worried?

If you are visitor visa exempt to Canada, you will not have a passport request, as you don't require an IM-1 visa.

Ohhh! I guess that could be, then! I didn't realize that only some people had passport requests. My partner is a British citizen so, ya, he doesn't need a visitors visa. Thank you.

Got my notes today and my security, background checks etc...still haven't been started. Does anyone know how long it takes them to complete these after they start them?
