The next update on ECAS you should be seeing is 'in process'.
My file went in process after 5 months of file transfer. Hopefully yours will be faster!

Is it fair to assume AfShe and FK22's cases are finished but they forgot to update the forum?

I sent FK22 a personal message and she is still waiting.
I believe she is near the end though!

Do you know if FK22's case has any special circumstances? Their interview was on January 17th according to the LVO Spreadsheet. Did it go well? I am just wondering as my interview was a few weeks later, and I might be in a similar situation. Cheers

I do not know of any special circumstances in the case, but I do remember FK22 saying that the interview went well.
She did mention that they were asked to provide another police certificate and they had recently sent that and now waiting.

Did you try to contact the LVO at all after you mailed the police certificate?

Hello all! I recently came across this forum and it's nice to know there are quite a lot of people in the same boat as my husband and I.
I'm Canadian and my husband is currently with me in Canada on a visitor's visa. We sent our application in June and I was approved in July. Now we're just waiting to hear any news but it's taking too long lol, waiting is the worst part! We keep thinking to ourselves 'any day now'.

* Copying and pasting from the London thread*

Hi everyone,

My prayers have been heard and I finally have good news *yay* :D
My husband was requested today (March 13, 2013) to send his passport to the London office so that they can stamp his visa.
They have said it can take up to 6 weeks.
However, I do have one question. My husband's medical expired first week of March, but they did not mention anything about his medical in the email. It is possible they got an extension?
Ecas still shows 'In process'.

So glad to see non visa exempt making progress!
Yay your journey in this long progress is almost complete!
Was just wondering what date they started processing your application? I'm a little curious since it seems you sent your application around the same time I did.
My husband and I are very anxious to hear some kind of news!! We keep checking on-line services to see if the status has changed LOL

I am just wondering if it might be worth applying for a visitor's visa to go and wait in Canada. Are there any precedents? Does it take long to get too? Is there a big chance they will refuse it because of the ongoing Spousal application?

The downside of waiting in Canada is that you cannot work...

My husband did apply and got refused.
It is just luck!

Most are refused because, to CIC, a spouse in Canada is a strong reason to not return to your home country... Even if you have a job.

applying will not, however, hurt the sponsorship application.
