Okay, thanks, I just added you to the spreadsheet, just for comparison's sake for the rest of us. I noticed you filed your application on the same day as another person on this thread, doctorkb, who just posted. Congrats again on your PPR. Considering that stumpedmom got hers the other week and she applied in March, it's interesting to know that Buffalo is working their way down the list, finishing processing people who applied months apart at around the same time ::) Ok, I'll drop the sarcasm now :p In any case, the average time from filing until PPR is still around 157 days, but this doesn't mean much when you consider the range from the minimum and maximum times to this average point. It really is quite a large range. The other thing I've been keeping in mind when scanning the spreadsheet is that some of these people who applied a while back may have gotten PPR but just never came back on here to post, so for all we know they're done waiting.

Well, it upsets me. If they keep on processing new applications, when will they get around to ours??

It sure does annoy, where is the Feb group? I know 2-3 got the PPR but for god sake include us tooo now?? :(
Problem is there is no active way of finding out what is going on with the application, I wish there was a call no. they had to ask for status updates.

Beginning of February here.... and quite frankly frustrated as hell. Went to in process the beginning of this month but I'm starting to believe that means nothing either.

Last week I met an American who's been in processing for over a year with Buffalo (app received in BUFF June 2010). I think they should change the language of their statement from "We process applications in the order they are received" to "we start processing apps in the order they are received".

Anyone in this thread in process in BUFF for over a year now?

I think in Family class, they should be much more liberal and quick by checking criminal history and genuineness of relationship. Lot of families are waiting for this process to get over and frankly lot of relationships could go sour because of long distance relationships.

The only proper scrutiny they should do is with skilled immigration to see if Canada actually needs the guy or not.

I dunno.....personally, I think "in process" after the AOR (albeit it was a forced one) is pretty darn good and I'd be excited.

That is a good point and insight into what ultimately ends up happening. They might set up a queue wherein the order of being opened and looked at is the order of the files coming in from CPCM but that says nothing about what order those visa stamps arrive at. And as for what accounts for the difference in those two orders, I've been following these discussions for months now and I am no closer to figuring out all of the variables at play, nor their relative importance.

I haven't obtained that magical and elusive "in process" yet, nor any other info beyond "application received". I fully believe there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to anything Buffalo does.

Me neither, but the fact that at least 2 people here received PPR without "in process" gives me a tiny shred of hope that our time will come soon.

I had a meeting with a rep for my MP this past friday, and they were telling me not to compare the time it's been taking for my application to process with all the posts/apps that are here on this forum. Supposedly, it's "confidential" and I felt like I was being blown off when I tried to explain my concern. She had told me that it should generally take "6 months to process and approve".

I contacted my MP after speaking with StumpedMom because our timeline is pretty much identical and her app was sent to LA and PPR was sent to her almost 3 months ago but she wouldn't have found out if she didn't have her MP look into it for her. I was terrified that it could happen to our application since we had a long hiatus to see any changes made to e-cas.

Here's our timeline;
Sent to Mississauga - March 21, 2011
AOR - April 20, 2011
"In Process" - August 18th (I think)
Medicals Rec'd - August 22, 2011

I guess the processing times really have no rhyme or reason for all of us :(

Tell them that you'll remember that come the next election. And you'll make sure your friends hear about their excuses as well.

The waiting waiting is not really healthy....I wish buffalo can just be updating each file maybe let it shows on Ecas Asap...Maybe that will help in curing this craziness!! This is not funny anymore.

I wasn't going take No for an answer. It wasn't like I was looking for them to speed up our application but I just wanted peace of mind that everything was ok. She asked another rep to come in to tell us not to focus on the time it takes and even compared it to the applications from Afghanistan(avg 2 years) and we should just be happy that we would take about 6 months on average. At the end of the meeting, she did agree to look into it for us probably because I wasn't going to budge.

I think they didn't take us as serious as they should've probably due to our age and appearance - I'm 24 with all purple hair, he's 28 with 12 years of natural dreads.

Ok so I applied in early February and have only "application in process" although it said medicals received right from beginning.

I pretty much have a job lined up from my current company to a site in Orillia. The HR lady there said today she is going to be in contact with the company lawyers to see if they can finalize my application any faster because she needs me there asap for work. We just bought over this plant in Orillia so they need as much help as possible. The plant manager is american too. She said rather than going through the work permit route/expatriate they rather bring me permanently as a resident (cheaper for the company too I guess).

Is it possible for the company lawyers to contact immigration and finalize my application? Or is this just a waste of time on their behalf?
