someone who applied in June and had the file transferred to Buffalo around August 8th is already in process on e-cas. not that i'm not happy for this person, but this is too strange. I'm personally changing the name from "Citizenship and Immigration Canada" to "Clearly Incapable of Consistency." And those are my .02 for this afternoon.

However, it does not mean they are TRULY in process...Anyway, they should be processing my file now, they've received it 8 months ago today, it has been long enough :(

hmn. so what would that make that.....a false positive? I thought we had to worry about people in process in reality but not on the e-cas screen but now we have to worry about the opposite.....people in process on the e-cas screen but not in reality?!?!

Anyway, I hope it won't be much longer for you, kayan.

Bad choice of words. What I meant was that there are plenty of examples of people being "in process" for months (and there was one person I remember who through caips notes could see that there was not much work being done on their file), and other people getting PPR without ever being "in process".
There is also the response we got from Buffalo to one of our emails asking about the status of our application. They said that ecas does not accurately reflect the status of applications being processed outside of Canada.
Of course, I have no idea what Buffalo is actually doing, but personally, I do not put much value into ecas updates.

I think they like doing random stuff, taking away addresses, making some people wait for no reason, cause they have a stressful job and sick senses of humor and "messing" with people takes a load off.

I think I almost prefer intentional delay cause they're buttheads to incompetency LOL

I wonder If they are ever going to catch up with the older apps before they keep doing the newer ones.

I wish!

Well, here's hoping that those keeners are working tomorrow and we get today's share of PPR on Saturday! :D

Lol, keeners? Had to look that one up. Not sure that I would characterize them what I found for a definition. Do they really work on Saturdays? Labor Day's coming up and I get that Friday before off.

If a government worker is working on a Saturday, they'd be a keener.

There has been a record of some PPR showing up on Saturday. Not sure the full deal -- maybe they were sent on Friday, but regardless...

Ah, okay. Hey, that'd be great if it happened.
