No... You still have to fill out that form.. Your best bet is if you have no way of scanning it, you can fax it. i'm assuming your spouse is the sponsor, which means that they need to send this via canada post form their local address with the authorization form. You can also do it the way Pharoh did..

I believe it was a site and they accept credit care payment. But even then they ask for a consent form that needs to be filled out and sent to them..

to make thing clear let me say this
i and my hubby {applicant}use this side inthe name of jma
and we want to order the caips but got confused with the forms
i have seen somewhere but don't remember that some one wrote just alatter consent/authorizing his/her spouse to order the caips notes
so we just thought we can do that
any ways it's not a big deal we can also fill that form and sent it
my hubby will scan me that form right away
by the way i will just write a cheque and include it with forms and send it

i think we have similar or worse visa office
our visa office's timeline inthe cici website is 29 month
but they said inthe AOR 22 months
inthe respect of commuincating nothing yet and it's not habit for them to email
some people say they got a call some say they got mail{worse than colombo due respect to kenya?
and we are not expecting anything till july earlier
what about you melbell

Yeah similar time line as urs.. Ours is 16 months and people keep saying its less.. the best case scenario is June for us at this point

Ours is very unresponsive too... And no emails! only snail mail and a phone call for PPR... besides that it's a total lost cause.

Its so sad how we are able to reach CIC here in Canada easily and have to struggle so much to reach the offices governed by the same laws of CIC in other countries..

It's both frustrating and an eye opening experience..

every destination is reachable it's a matter of time before we reach
so pull yourself up and have a faith in god
it's him we all depend
so am hopeful you'll gt ur visa before june
i have seen some poeple{who applied the nairobi office} with same timeline like ours who have already got their ppr in febuary
but it's not like other offices you will have 2 wait two more month before u gt ur passport back
even if we got our ppr this month we still have 2 wait two month that will take us to may this year
hope colombo is not like our visa office

I just think its great that this forum exist.. I have had the funniest and strangest conversation on here and learned soooo much.. hehehe...

all my friends and family keep telling me to "hang in there" and blah blah but when it comes from someone from this forum it feels better because I know that they are going thru the same thing as me.. either way, I'm just glad that I made it thru the first few months in one piece! hehehehehe

few more to go and we will all be settled in with our partners hopefully..

they can be an io from ur visa office he/she can be angry about they way we describe their job
and they can refuse to give ur visa onthe basis of this

hmmm.. I just want to say that my "Medical results have been received." line is missing once more from ecas! lol.. this keeps appearing and reappearing!

Melbell and jma I hear you guys. Beijing, where I'm applying, is better and worse then your visa office is ways. Their letter they sent in Dec ( Yeah one of their good points) said 6 months (other good point much faster than your guys) but there's no way to contact besides email (no in person, snail mail, fax or telephone) and if you email them before 6 months since they've had your file they will ignore it!!! . Also hearing a lot of the fact that they have the highest refusal rates in the world. Not talking the numbers they refuse but the percentage who get refused.

When we had filled out the application, I had put my current job and rate I was making.. a month ago I started working fulltime at another place.. my question is do I have to update my VO with this information ?

My guess would be yes but then it would make everything so long and confusing as they might ask for extra papers from my work for proof..

my only confusion would be that if i dont update them my husband during the interview if we have one is asked about my job he would have to stick to what was written on paper ?

im so confused.. if someone could help i would appreciate it !

You don't need to update that. If your husband is called in for any interview and is asked about your current job, you should have a job letter confirming your employment sent to him so that he can show that as proof and explain the situation. Don't lie and tell them that ur still working at ur old job because if they try to verify ur employment, its going to be a red flag.

Also employment plays a very small role in spousal sponsorship. so your worried about nothing really. just to be the safe side, get ur boss to issue a letter and send it to your hubby as mentioned previously.
