Ughhh...hope you will get word soon!!

I'm going to be checking in here until the last May person has their PR. At the start of this process I was sure we would be the last, so I don't feel right leaving until everyone is done!

My husband had to go to CIC and drop off more photos today so that PR card can be issued. I guess we will have to wait another couple of months now, though it doesn't matter much since he won't be traveling.

The Alberta winter weather has hit hard, and amazingly my African husband is coping well with -25 and has become a pro at shoveling. He's also at the hockey rink every weekend with my son, so he's turning into a Canadian before my eyes! I think the main challenge for him is driving on the snow and ice.

He started seriously looking for jobs about a month ago. He's had several interviews and one company is now checking his references, so that's a good sign. He's looking for something in IT, that's what his degree is in. He started working overnights at Walmart this week, just to have some money for Christmas gifts and he likes the overnight so he can go to interviews during the day.

He misses his family...and that makes me sad for him, but he's happy, and my kids absolutely love him, and things are good!

I got a letter from Buffalo, They want an interview :( and no date was given. However it says the interview will take place in Buffalo, NY even though I had requested to have an interview in Detroit if necessary. Now I just have to waite for a letter with the date, I hope it is soon.

Sorry to hear this. I hope you will get the date soon!

Hoping the rest of MAY 2010 applicants have speedy PR approval! Good Luck all!

I landed exactly one month ago (Oct. 22nd). Wonder when I'll receive my PR card. Wondering if they've lost my pic too!! hhmmm...

Sorry to hear that. I hope you get a date soon so you can get your PR!!

When I got home we had mail from CIC...but it was my hubby's Visitor Record extension. At least they gave us a full year this time....hope we don't need it!
