hey joe you back !!! greetings to everyone , just bouncing back this thread from 2nd page!!!

Hey everyone!
So in July London office requested more documents! I sent them and have not heard a word for 2 months... I received a e-mail today saying....

"We are writing with regards to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Thank you for your correspondence.

Please be advised that your application and submissions are currently under review with an officer. You will be contacted when we are in a position to proceed.

We appreciate your continued patience.

Yours sincerely, "

It is so nice to finally here something and know things are rolling again! I was told the request of more documents could of delayed things by 4 months!!!

Good news!! I'm really hoping for PPR soon for all of the May people!

Bobshynoswife (and anyone else in Edmonton), maybe once I get up there maybe a few of the people who survived this ordeal should get together for dinner or a couple drinks. What do you think?

We'd love to meet up with you and Heather. What area of the city will you be living in?

Crossing my fingers for everyone here...hoping there are a ton of PPRs this week!

As for me, it has been a surreal 3 and half days with my husband here. I am hoping he is over the jetlag now as he has been sleeping at odd times, but everything is good. He and the kids acted like they've known each other for years, and we even had my ex-husband over for my husband's birthday dinner on Friday! Then it was off to hockey try-outs for my son, so Michael got a pretty good taste of Canadian life in his first day here.

Oh, and we went on Friday to get his SIN and Alberta Health Card. Each only took a few minutes. Then to Rogers to get him a SIM for his cell phone, but we ended up leaving with a new iPhone4 for him! As a tech guy, he's pretty happy. In fact, he's on my desktop now, cleaning out years of junk. I don't think he knows how I ever lived liked that...lol.

Yeah! I'm glad they sent you a letter so you weren't in limbo. Hopefully it won't be too long now!

For those in our month that have been approved did you have dependents on your application? If so were they from a previous relationship or between you and your new spouse?

I am just wondering if children listed on your Family Class application under 16 changes the processing time much. Reason why I say under 16 is that I can see a 18+ year old needing more checks as there considered an adult in most cases.

Thanks.

I've yet to be approved and we have no children, previous marriages or any other complication.
