Wow seems like Buffalo VO is moving right along. Hope to see some March London apps approved soon too!!! Although I'm probably just dreaming ;D

Has anyone tried calling CIC even though the application was done outland?? On their website, they specifically said CIC call centre is only for applications within Canada. Will they refuse answering your questions? Because they still have not fixed the incorrect address and I still have not received the letter for sponsorship approval. I contacted my local visa office but no one replied my letter nor emails and I can't get anyone to speak to me! >:(

I imagine they will change such things as an address, however I called yesterday regarding information that I provided after my application was submitted (was uploade to London VO website) and they assured me they couldn't provide me with that information.

Can you change your address on eCas?

The Outland Visa Offices will NOT upload your change of address from Mississauga or E-Cas. It even states it on the buffalo website. You must contact your outland office and submit your change of address through them.

I did try phoning Mississauga a few weeks ago, and they informed me that they can only trace a package if you think it is lost when you haven't received notification of it's arrival at your Visa Office... but they cannot tell you the status of your application at all once it leaves their hands. Only if it has arrived.

I thought it took 11 months for buffalo's visa office to issue visa for spouse sponsership? is this correct?

11 months is the average for 80% of complete applications received. That means, some are processed faster than 11 months, some are processed slower, but overall most are completed by that time.

No, on eCas, it saids: To change this mailing address, contact us. When I click on "contact us", it jumps back to the cic website "Contact Us" page where it gives options to call the Call centre (if apply inland) or contact local visa office, etc.

However, as I mentioned, no response whatsoever after I wrote/emailed to my local visa office.

But I'm thinking, since the Sponsorship approval letter is sent out by the Mississauga office (not local visa office), then would my local VO care about this? Actually my local VO did get the address correct as I have received a letter from them saying they have received our application. So it's only Mississauga who got our address wrong (they missed our building number!) and I never got the sponsorship letter from them.

Question for anyone who has both a Sponsor Client Number and a File #:

When you check ecas using both numbers, do you see the same info? Just want to know if it's worth emailing or calling Buffalo to request my file #.

Thanks and Good Luck to all!

Yup! I see the same info regardless of how I login. I too thought it was worth a try but still shows application received...no change since then....May 5.

I've always logged in with my sponsor's info and IMM5401 receipt number... I finally got my file number the other day and logged into ECAS with that info -- shows exactly the same stuff for me (but doesn't show anything about my sponsor, like it does with the IMM5401 receipt number).

Yeah, when I use my client number it shows my (the sponsor) information, and when I use the file number it shows my husbands (applicant) information (like address etc). Other than that, it's the same info... both say Sponsor approved blah blah blah.

Hmm... I haven't checked in the last couple hours, maybe it's changed... /twitch

Any March 2011 applicants dealing with the Accra visa office, please?

I am just wondering about the progress of outland spouse sponsorship applications to that visa office. I am from the May 2011 thread and itching for some good news from that office. :)

Thanks!
