Hi Everyone, I wish all march applicants speedy success to their applications. I have also sponsored my common law wife for a PR in March and am being processed through the Sao Paulo office. After being approved as a sponsor we decided to apply for a TRV. The application for TRV was submitted on May 6th along with a copy of the sponsorship approval letter from CIC M and passport. Well long story short is till now we have heard nothing with regards to TRV application. We knew it was a longshot in getting issued a TRV but didnt see the problem in trying. Anyone have similar experiences or insight?

thanks!

I just posted this in the Buffalo forum but wanted to note it here as well:

In response to an inquiry I submitted on Friday to Buffalo where I asked for our file number so that we could submit my husbands address change (as he moved here to Alberta over the weekend), I received this:

Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

The subject line of the email was our File number!!! I was able to log in to e-cas with the file number and my husbands information.

(Just as a side note - Our application arrived in Buffalo on May 13, so they are processing files that arrived one month ago).

Hope this helps anyone else who is waiting. At least we know they are working toward speeding things up!

I just checked ECAS through my sponsor's information and OMG! AN UPDATE!!!!

We received fizzlefunk's application for permanent residence on April 21, 2011.

We started processing fizzlefunk's application on June 7, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

I'm so encouraged by mossee's progress that I went and made sure I knew where my passport was :D Hopefully good news to come soon for all us Buffalo Marchers!!

Why don't you email them??

I did last night and now awaiting a reply....I leave in 24 days to fly down to get hubs and he is coming to "visit" out the rest of the process, this is killing us, not only financially for me, but emotionally....we are going to have to change his mailing address, although if the postal strike is still on, might be faster to have his mail go to his mom's and have her fax, or scan and send it to us....

AND OMG we just checked my husband's EMAIL!

Dear Applicant:

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. We are now in a position to request your passports for visa issuance.

Please submit your passport(s) before 08-AUGUST-2011 . The issuance of your visa(s) is time sensitive so it is important for you to submit your passport(s) as requested

Awesome news! So excited for you. Congrats! I hope I'm not too far behind...

Today we received a call from Visa office stating the process is finnished and they are ready to issue the Permanent Residence. They indicated the passports will be ready for pick up in 4-5 days. We applied for a TRV in early May, the visa office stated that rather than issue the TRV they decided to expedite the PR.

I wish all March applicants a speedy completion to their applications!

Hi, Everyone,

I'm really confused, and I'm hoping to find some answers. I have submitted application to sponsor my husband from India on March 9, 2011 and New Delhi received it on April 18/2011. My husband got a letter saying they want him to send his passport on June 14/2011 and also provide phone bills and photos of our outings after marriage. The thing is I had submitted my phone bills but it was missing 2 months of call logs because I was using a different phone to call my husband and hadn't received the phone bill for that phone when i had submitted my application. I had also submitted photos of our outings. The only thing is we didn't have a honeymoon because there were family weddings that we had to attend after our marriage. We did however go out after our engagement and these are the pictures that i had sent. I found couple of new ones and sent these along with the old one that I had submitted. Any thoughts on how the New Delhi Immigration Officer is going to be looking at this case?

I'm really scared they might reject our file because of my mistake. I didn't want to lie and say we had a honeymoon and submit our pre-wedding outings pictures, but now they asked for more proof because it seems like our relationship is not genuine. I really don't know what to do, and I'm really confused. Please shed some light on this situation. It will be really helpful!

I also wanted to ask, since they asked for his passport, does that mean he'll get the visa? or is there sill a possiblity of him getting a call for interview?
