Hi hibou

I'm glad to be able to see where others are at as well. I hope it all goes quick.
I can't wait until we start to see progress.

Best of luck to you

hi there! just dropped by this thread to say good luck to you march 2011 people! from us, february 2011 applicants.. :D

angtao: that's right.. GO TO HELL FAKERS!!! speaking of fakers, i read someone in the forum that is asking fo an advice for his cousin that is planning to commit fraud (marry a 50+ year old grandma, he is 20+) isn't just stupid and selfish!! i wish i could kick him in the head!

Hi I just send my application today ... it should get there tomorrow ... what is going to happen next ??? good luck to everyone :)

Dorisiana, I know eh. I read that one too about the 60 something yr old bringing some 22 yrs old to Canada when us real relationships have to suffer.

For me the hardest thing is my husband not having a work permit. It is hard with just one salary. Is there any other way we can get the work permit quicker? We are applying inland because we do not want to be apart. We were apart for many years and were used to each other now.

I am so happy to also say that our package is going out either this Friday or Monday. I will let you guys know when they receive it.

How do you guys cope with the waiting?

Sorry to butt in, but I just wanted to make sure you know that you can apply outland and still have your husband there with you. And in almost every case it is MUCH quicker (which will also get your husband working more quickly.) I applied outland through Buffalo and have been with my husband here in Canada for the entire process.

Hey guys,

My immigration consultant says that they usually do not like it when people apply outland if you are not outland. He says that outland apps get denied more then inland apps.

I am very confident about our package and I know that our relationship is real.

So confused!

I would be very surprised if immigration cared about inland or outland, they are not processed in the same location.
I would really like to see the data to support the claim that "outland apps get denied more then inland apps".

One thing you should keep in mind about inland/outland and denials, is that if you Do get denied on an outland application you can appeal, which you cannot with an inland application. But I'm with Baloo. I haven't seen Anything that would suggest to me that more outland applications are denied. I have seen a few cases where it made more sense to apply inland, but usually an outland application is much quicker and safer (because you can appeal).

I just send my pack to Mississauga !!! im so happy!! Its going to be there by monday :D Im applying outland via Mexico Office!!! Im happy nervous but excited

My application has arrived in Mississauga today...
Now the waiting really begins!
Good luck to all the other March applicants!

Hello angtao:
I agree with quakingaspen. In fact, I changed from inland to outland after completing all the paper work for the inland application because of the two points that quakingaspen mentioned above: the process time (outland can be quicker depending on the visa office) and the right to appeal (inland doesn't have the right to appeal in case of refusal). It seemed a lot of work to switch from inland to outland, but it really wasn't. Maybe worth taking a look at the process time for your outland visa office? Just a thought.

I actually spoke to people at the CIC about the inland/outland thing, and they specifically told me it makes absolutely no difference whatsoever, except that if its denied you can appeal if you apply outland.

Hi Everyone!!!! I finally sent out our package today!! Not sure how big your packages are but ours is almost 3 inches thick :S Postal Office claims that Mississauga will receive our package on the Monday! It's all a waiting game now!
