Man, I wish I had your MP. Mine was completely useless.

I loathe this process. I hate that you can't get any information whatsoever without jumping through hoops and even then you aren't necessarily going to get the info you need. Its ridiculous how in the dark applicants are about their files and processing. I understand completely that they get thousands of applications and things take time, but a little customer service goes a long way, and that's something that they have no concept of whatsoever.

Wow Jayde, how exciting yet nerve wracking at the same time! I wonder if many other people have gotten PPRs and haven't known it? Especially as my ecas never changed and I never received any snail mail as some have.

Well when stumpedmom said she had an email that was sent to them that never arrived... I knew i'd have to bug my MPs to be persistent. I think i'll be sending some flowers or chocolates or something... just as a thank you.

I just need that e-mail. I'm having a serious adrenaline crash right now, and I won't stop worrying until that e-mail comes through. Part of me wants to put my husband on a plane to Buffalo next week and send him with his passport and pics, regardless of whether the e-mail arrives...

This whole process has made me feel so OCD.

A friend here at work went through the process with his wife, and he just sat patiently and waited, didn't look at forums, didn't check e-cas... just waited. So he teased me last week for being so impatient... I made a point of explaining to him that I would never have known a PPR was issued had I not been a pain in the a$$ to the powers that be

I really hope things go more smoothly for everyone else. And i COMPLETELY recommend ordering CAIPS (GCMS) notes.

You are right Jayde...our file was transferred and PPR sent in June and the only reason I found anything out was because of my MP looking into it...we technically only had 14 days to submit the passport from the original request. Thank god they reissued it when the MP looked into it for us....and yes its right close Jayde....inbox me when you get the email...

Tulamoon, I would take the spreadsheet to your MP and show them the timeline of everyone thru Buffalo...its not like its breaching confidentiality, we all know our information is there, and its all aliases that are on there....If that one won't help maybe there is another MP close by who may help you....

We never did get an email to our addresses... our MP's office managed to get them to send a copy of the e-mail to them... which the MP's assistant then forwarded to me.

One question... we don't feel comfortable sending his passport to Fort Erie by regular mail... is there any way to courier the passport? I can't believe they want us to trust regular post with a passport...

Congrats! I believe they prefer it to go through commercial courier.

I believe it should be courier with a return label inside so they just stamp visa in and send it back to you, so grab a prepaid ups or fedex and send it off

I think its secure if you dont like that option do you have an address in USA it can be sent from and back to?

Yes, I just talked to the post office and they said they can send Priority Courier to a po box We'll be sending things off tomorrow!!

Hi, pcdmontreal. The spreadsheet had some dates for AOR and In Process for you already......7/15/2011 for each. I'm trying to just confirm if that's correct.....

And by the way, when you say that you don't have a file number, the F number that Buffalo quotes when they replied to you is just that.

Here is our time line, I'm a Canadian living in Montreal and sponsoring my husband who's from the US:

- Application sent on March 7th
- Sponsorship approved on April 8th
- PR application received in Buffalo on April 14th
- CSQ received mid-May
- RFPR fees paid at the end of May

Never received AOR nor file number, and e-cas still says "application received"
So I e-mailed Buffalo last Thursday and they got back to me on Friday saying:

"Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

With the file number starting with a F in the subject of the e-mail.

Is it a good sign, does it mean that the file as been opened and they're looking at it right now ? A lot of people who applied in March seemed to have news recently, hopefully it means that we are near the end. I was surprised that they replied almost right away when I read other applicants had to send a lot of e-mails and never got answers.
