Plumosa,

You're about 2 days behind us. We are also in Quebec. Today my husband received an email from Buffalo that his file was transferred to the Los Angeles office to "expedite the process". I hope this means we will get an answer soon! We are also lucky that we are together here in Canada so the waiting isn't that difficult.
Good luck to you guys.

its good to know there is some movement going on! The forums have overall been pretty silent the past two tuesdays... Did you select LA as your interview location? No one seems to know if its correlated or just coincidence.

we're still waiting (im)patiently for our FBI clearance to be returned successfully. At this point its what is holding our entire application up as we have only 90 days per the last letter from Buffalo to get it in... about 30 of which are gone already. /frown.

I received a letter dated 27 July that my initial assessment has been finished and that they don't think I'll need an interview! They also said they need no more documents from me and that they know I've done my medicals but they are just waiting for the results to come in.

But I think there's a good chance they already have them because the 27th is the day I freaked out about my medicals and emailed buffalo and faxed ottawa RMC about them. My DMC had only given me the receipts that I paid for the exam and not appendix C (they confused inland and outland and there was a language barrier since my french is really bad)

Does anyone know how long after receiving the interview waived letter that a PPR might come in? I'm thinking there's still another month at least...

lucky you, i am happy to know the interview had been waived and your filed transferred. Sadly for us we haven't heard anything from buffalo since the aor letter. I wonder why we have yet to receive something but i guess i have to be a bit more patient still

honestly? I think what happened was that we sent in a boatload of extra proof about 2 weeks before the letter was written. I bet you anything the officer opened up our file to put it in and was like, "what the hell, I'll just start on it right now!"

But I've been looking at trackitt and some people don't get the same letter we did. The first communication can often be the PPR, I don't think you should worry about anything yet!

PR Approved.

Collected my Passport and other documents this morning. Thinking of landing in first week of September.

Thanks everyone for all the support, and all the best for people who are still waiting for their PR.

congrats.... i'd love to be joining you soon in the land of finished pr-dom but i know that we have at least another 12 weeks to go since the latest fbi disaster.

Hi Plumosa,

We did indeed select LA as our interview location. I think that is how they choose where to send the file when they decide to send it to another office. We still haven't heard anything since the email about my husband's file being sent to LA. We changed our address at the Buffalo office and with CIC. I hope they have our correct address because it seems like the mail forwarding we set up with USPS to forward our mail to Quebec isn't happening. Booooooo for USPS!

hello danifry!!

I do have a new update...medical results have been received. how abt u?
