Hi guys,

I wanted to know regarding the timelines mentioned here by everyone:

Is the date given by you guys here for PPR request according to the passport request letter issued by the immigration office or the date when you received that letter? I am trying to analyze if I should consider a 4-5 weeks timeframe from the passport request issuance date or when I received it?

Thank you in advance.

As you can see from my profile:
Passport Req..: 17-06-2010 (rec'd 05-07-10) sent regular mail
VISA ISSUED...: 13-07-2010 (rec'd 16-07-10) via prepaid Fedex

But in New Delphi it might be different....

PR APPLICATION STATUS UPDATE ON TUESDAY JULY 20, 2010: NEW DELHI

We started processing your application on May 20, 2010.

Interview scheduled for June 25, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
NOW I AM WAITING FOR THE PASSPORT BACK WITH VISA STAMPED.

My wife received her passport today from the Canadian embassy in Tokyo. She sent it about a week ago, so I was surprised how quickly she got it back. She'll be landing in September or October. Best of luck to everyone and their new lives in Canada!

Congratulations to all who are moving forward.

I'm simply baffled as to why the apps from the US take so much longer then so many other countries... :/ Disappointing.

Hi All,

Been awhile since I last posted on this Thread. Been on the thread specific to the country my wifes application is progressing in. I wanted to congratulate all who have received ppr and visas who applied and initially supported myself and everyone during the March 2010 CPC-M stage of the application.

Our application began processing in CHC-ISB on June 8, 2010 and we have a long wait ahead as it is one of the slowest countries for processing applications. Still looking at appoximatley 9 months of waiting as most applicants end up requiring a second medical due to delay in processing.

Best wishes to all!
